Well, here in the States, put yourself in their shoes. Imagine for a moment you're a black person in a nation that has never nominated a black man for the highest office in the land. Now imagine that you're proud of your race, and hope he wins because of that factor. Is it racist, yeah, it is. But that kind of racism doesn't denote a negative connotation with it. Instead of denigrating a race because you think they are inferior, you are saying up with your race because you want to see good things happen to the people of your race.

As a white person through and through, I have the intellect to see this for what it is: PRIDE. No more, no less, and I for one don't blame them for feeling that way. Not one iota.

yes because those black people had sooo much to do with a man who has some more 'black color' in his skin get elected. Or perhaps he busted his fucking ass to go to the right schools and move up in the world doing the uncle tom thing.

i cant wait for the so called black community to call him an uncle tom.

I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.

Fuck black pride.

racism is tied to intent - i say some of the most 'racist' things ive ever heard.

but...i hate people - period. just because i want to use your race this time around the talkin-shit-about-you track doesnt mean that i dislike you because of your race. i dislike you bc you exist.

my point is, race shouldnt matter. the feelings that it does perpetuate the stigma. get over it. all of yous.

They wouldn't do that because they object to the cutting of trees to make that bat. If it's aluminum, then they object to the waste and pollution involved in the making of that bat. They can't use foam bats for the same reason. So he's pretty much safe, unless they decide to crowd his cubicle making him smell their unwashed hair and stinky bodies, while rubbing their unshaven legs and pits against him.

You should move down to Orange County where we have a nice insulated bubble of Republicans.

Seriously, though, what I don't get is how some liberals get so angry and conduct themselves like walking contradictions when you disagree with them. My girlfriend is very discriminatory and judgmental about Christians even though she's doing the exact thing she complains that they do. She didn't like it when I pointed it out to her rather harshly. But it's all good....I still got some middle-of-the-night wake-up sex.

I voted Umm because that's the closest to an answer I can form. It is certainly racist in that it is a race based decision where race does not truly play a factor. However I do not agree that it is ENTIRELY race based, as why didn't Alan Keyes split the black vote with Obama then? Inherant in a lot of African Americans who go "Woot woot, black president" is "Woot woot, black president I generally agree with"

LOL U SO FUNNY LOL

Regardless, my point stands. There was certainly an increase in support for Obama (Kerry got 88ish% IIRC, Obama getting 95-97%). Most if not all of that increase is due to his race, maybe some due to his not being a shitty candidate. But most of that support is general African American support for the Democrats because (for right or for wrong, Claydon) they see that party as better representing their POV.

No matter what Obama does during his presidency the only thing he'll be known as is the first black president of the United States. Just because he is elected president shit will change? Well it's been a few hours and the country is still as fucked up as it was yesterday. Racism survives because most blacks can't let shit go. And it is evident now more than ever. I've never own a slave, I owe these people fucking nothing. Where is my equal rights, white college fund, white history month and mother fucking W.E.T. tv channel?

Supposedly a good man was elected president, not a black man. Until people stop including the black issue with this man racism will be alive and grow bigger than ever.
