Anyone watching this show?

I'm at the 8th book now, loving it.

I'm kinda concerned about the show though, I liked how they did the first two episodes. They did change some mayor stuff, but then again that keeps the story fresh for me.

One thing that worries me is the fact that at the end zedd says: Don't worry, I'm sure there are lots of people that need saving before we get to Darken Rahl." Or something along those lines.

I really don't hope they get all Hercules and add like 12 filler episodes and just 12 episodes with story. Save a girl, have some story, save a family, have some story.

That would ruin the whole damn show.

Any thoughts?

Yes, I read fantasy. No need to point it out.

I forget which book I was on. But yeah the Sword of Truth series was one of my favorites along with the Wheel of Time series. I haven't heard how many episodes they are doing but if they do it correctly they could do a book a season and be fine without much filler.

Far to late but fuck. This show is so so VERY far off from the books at points, it drives me fucking crazy! I honestly hate they are picking parts of the lore and fucking it up

Episode 8 is the best example of how these writers are screwing up this series compared to the books

The dude playing Richard is about the worst actor. I last read Naked Empire but that was like months ago. It's hard to get back into the series again, so I'm watching the series knowing its only based..

I really like the show, but I only got about 14 pages into The Sword Of Truth before getting distracted with something else, so I can't complain about how it deviates. It's a good way to waste an hour before I put my kid to bed.

Catching up on Hulu, I still have my original complaints about how the writers are not sticking to the books. There are parts I am happy with but there are others that drive me nuts.

Still, at my core, I am happy they made such a great series of books into film.
