Wow, no thread for this?
Anyway, I just wanted to say that the fact that they busted out the Cool Whip joke again brought a tear to my eye. I loved that bit.
It was actually one of the better episodes in awhile.

I have to admit this was one of the better seasons this year! Definitely a better show than the Simpsons/American Dad/King of the Hill combined.

I think there was a Family Guy thread. But I guess it got deleted. Like the Supernatural thread.

The Trilogy will be complete
"Family Guy" will extend its full-episode "Star Wars" parodies to the third film in the George Lucas series, "Return of the Jedi."
The show's cast completed a table read yesterday for a "Jedi" spoof script, which is tentatively titled “Episode VI: The Great Muppet Caper" (Ewok jokes never get old).
The animated hit's parody of "A New Hope" (which was titled, sort of confusingly at this point, "Blue Harvest," which is actually the production code name for the third film, "Return of the Jedi") was one of ... that parenthetical was so convoluted the start of the sentence is lost now, isn't it?
Do over: The animated hit's spoof of "A New Hope" was one of the show's all-time top-rated episodes and producer 20th TV sold the movie as a stand-alone DVD. For a studio, nothing beats having an episode so desirable that they can sell it solo, as it were, without needing to include the rest of the season.
The show's previously announced parody of "The Empire Strikes Back" is titled "Something-Something-Something Dark Side." Unfortunately, Fox won't air "Dark Side" until the fall. But with Carrie Fisher playing a recurring role on "Family Guy" as Peter Griffin's boss, there's some hope around the show's campfire that she'll do a voiceover in the "Empire" spoof (not as Princess Leia, since Lois plays Leia, but as another character...)

PTC HATES EVERYTHING...
The Parents Television Council is filing an indecency complaint with the Federal Communications Commission against Fox's "Family Guy" for a March 8 episode that included -- and this is from the press release -- "bestiality, orgies and babies eating sperm."
Since there's nothing hotter than PTC president Tim Winter talking about graphic TV content, let's get right to his quote:
"Fox treated viewers to everything from an ‘eleven-way’ gay orgy to baby Stewie eating a bowl of cereal with horse sperm instead of milk ... if that isn’t enough, the show’s leading character is also shown fanaticizing about his wife and moaning while a horse licks his bare behind. Clearly, the explicit content was not isolated to one instance in one segment of the show; it permeated the entire program."
I know. I can't believe I missed "Family Guy" last week either.
And presumably Winter meant "fantasizing" not "fanaticizing," the latter meaning "to cause to become fanatic."
The PTC is urging its purported 1.3 million members to file FCC complaints against "Family Guy" as well. The organization has a history of taking issue with the show's content and series creator Seth MacFarlane was asked (http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/fanatic) about the PTC last year:
"Oh, yeah. That’s like getting hate mail from Hitler. They’re literally terrible human beings. I’ve read their newsletter, I’ve visited their website, and they’re just rotten to the core. For an organization that prides itself on Christian values — I mean, I’m an atheist, so what do I know? — they spend their entire day hating people. They can all suck my d**k as far as I’m concerned."
The organization has targeted other shows over the years with various degrees of success. The PTC has gone after notorious content offenders such as "Nip/Tuck" ... "Las Vegas" ... the Golden Globe Awards ... "That 70s Show" ... "Father of the Pride" ... "Big Brother" ... "Without a Trace" ... "Friends" ... the Billboard Music Awards ... "The Simpsons" ... "Dexter" ... the Live 8 concert ... "Today" ... "Survivor" ... "Two and a Half Men" ... Carl's Jr.'s "Spicy BBQ Six Dollar Burger" commercial ... and "Gilmore Girls." Clearly, only the worst of the worst.
