I was surprised with the amount of drinking that goes on here that there was not a thread about where some of the best watering holes are in both Canada and the US.
So guys, what are your top bars and why?
I will start:
Toronto: O'Grady's Bar and Grill ($2 shots and free pool on sundays).
Bier Markt (over 100 beers on tap, great live music)
Duke of York (great food! Cheap beer)

Bier Market is great. I go there alot. I just found out there are two of them.
I also like the Madison (college bar), the Brunswick house and if you want to go to a club check out Circa, I was there for Halloween, it was awesome.
In Montreal I liked the Peel Pub. Mont Tremblant, well all the bars were a good time there.

Ahh yes... the Brunny... forgot about that one. Cheap beer. Best time had was when Tropicana was there and had a contest for who had the nastiest tattoo. Alcohol and showing skin... great combo. By the end of the night the bar was shut down for a month for allowing indecent exposure of patrons. Good times!

I love the Bier Markt too. I actually love the whole area around the Esplanade and Front Street. There's an Irish bar not too far from Bier Markt, it's on Yonge and King. I think. You can't miss it... there's a huge Guinness sign out front. But that's a pretty great bar too. Really nice atmosphere to grab a beer.

RICHTREE!! FRICKING RULES! I use to love going there for a thursday dinner. Though I always lost those damn order sheets.

Order sheets? Bitch Please, They have magnetic cards now. It's been a while since I've been there. But it will ALWAYS be my favourite restaurant. Love going there... it's not just about the food... but the way the restaurant is set up and the stations. I always say it's a perfect place to take a first date too.

Ha, I've been there too. It's super quiet on a Saturday afternoon as well.
The King's Head in Vancouver is pretty fucking sweet IMO. Good service, and really unique lay-out.

The best bar in OC is definitely my home bar. That I can guaranfuckingtee. As far as my favorite drinking establishments outside of my home that are local to OC...
8Eighty8. It's a cigar bar with a full bar (in cali, that's not legal unless it's a private membership- you cannot smoke in public places). best of all, the bartenders there are cool as fuck. One dude played football w/Jericho's brother at Nebraska and the other dude is a diehard Raider fan. Which is probably why I always wind up with multiple free shots. Plus they have a nice poker table in the back. Did I mention it's a private club?
The Tiki Bar - yeah, some tiki drinks are kinda wussy. But not when they have the 90 oz drinks that are half off during happy hour with 151 in it. Ahhhhhh yeah.
Pauls - It's a dump. But they pour a strong drink. It's the standard bearer among all of my friends. As in "they poured me a strong drink. Practically like at Pauls!" Bikers show up all the time. Smell of urine on occasion. Cops love to scope it out though.

no...you and I were talking about a guy who went to my highschool. He played with one of your bro's and I know he went to the pros. The guy who bartends at my bar is from Nebraska. He knew the guy who went to my highschool, but if I recall correctly, it was the same time your bro went too.

I use to love Richtree with a passion. I went there a lot before it was richtree when it was owned by Movenpick (sp?). It is fun once and a while. I just found the food whats "that" great, and got a bit old after a while. but very fun place ot go with some friends once and a while.

Jesus....I haven't been to many that I looove. I enjoy shooting Pool at The Corner Pocket, just a skoch outside of Roseville in Citrus Heights. I usually end up at the Glass Turtle. It's like right across from my apartment and I've fucked no less than 3 girls who I've escorted from there to said apartment.
Why, what do you like around here. Maybe you could tell me something

the only place in Citrus Heights that I can remember going to is McGee's.

McGee's....Oh, Jeepers. Split some mozerella sticks with the Newport crowd, did we?
Although, a caveat: That is the first place I ever got falldown drunk.

San Marcos, TX - The Tap Room: Shit tons of beer, great burgers.... chill shit.
Harlingen, TX - Baloos: Wait staff is top notch, all do-able. 100% out door bar. Great music, relatively cheap drinks. Best place to meet hot women.
South Padre Island, TX - Louie's Back Yard: Great for those spring break parties. Good burgers too.
South Padre Island, TX - Padre Island Brewing Co.: Excellent food, all the beers are a must try. A bit pricey. Very relaxed atmosphere.

I didn't drive. I ain't from there. I just know that we sat down at the bar and started doing shots immediately. For someone's b-day. Next thing I know, we are playing pool and no one can make a damn shot cuz we're fucking hammered.
That's the only bar in Citrus Heights that I have ever been to.

I've actually read about that place. Seattle and Denver are the places to go for tours of brewhouses and good local breweries on tap.

We have a place like that in Toronto... it's called the Bier Markt. They have a decent selection of beers on tap, but nowhere near 160.

I've been going to this place called the Freakin Frog in Vegas, partially because its right next to my campus (Owned by an alum of UNLV). It's got about 500 beers by the bottle, and 15-20 pretty high quality (rotated) brands on tap. Pretty good bands every weekend, decent food, lots of students but a good mix of people, and a packed Whiskey Attic (I heard they have one of the largest Whiskey selections in the country as well). Kinda a dive-bar, but in a town like Vegas, you can't exactly go out on the strip every weekend.

Cat's Cradle is meh. Top of the Hill is pretty sweet, getting down those stairs when you're hammered isn't. There's a bar in CH that's below street level we went to one time, but I can't remember the name. It was cool though. I threw up all over their bathroom.

At the cradle it all depends on the show. Sometimes It's awesome. Other times it sucks worse than Schmukers at life.

There is a sweet bar in OKC called TapWerks that has like 200 beers on tap, and a bunch of weird shit on the menu. They have beers that are like 18% alcohol.
