The characters are colorful and have a slight tinge of unabated camp. But the lead guy plays it pretty straight and stoic, so when watching the dialogue scenes I felt like I was watching a GTA cut scene..

No, the fact that coming into the show, Bruce Campbell was the biggest star, and everything he has ever been prominently featured in has never seen any mainstream success...it makes me happy to see him doing so well.

Although Brisco County had very similar ratings that X-Files did...both they only chose to pick up X-Files.

I'm late to the party, but I just downloaded both seasons over the weekend and now I'm caught up. And pissed that the season finale is Thursday. For some reason I think that Mike's brother is more pivatol than we think. There was an episode where Mike said to his mom that his brother dissapears for long years at a time.

What I don't get is what drove him to be become a spy? I would get just assassin like Grosse Pointe Blank with his messed up childhood. He seems to not want to kill when it would be the easiest solution. He's also always helping the underdog and more and more not getting paid. What's wrong with saying no a few times?

And why is it that everyone knows where he lives? I mean that Hatian guy just walked up, are the assassins done coming affter him?

From what I know from when you get burned, anything he does now is as a private citizen. So all those shootout and scams, he can get pulled in. Just like how they went after his brother, they can go after Fi for gunrunning, selling explosives etc.

Awesome fucking Finale. I like how they're taking teh BSG approach and NOT doing cliche shit. He could've easily closed the door, which I thought he was going to do, but he didn't and jumped (to some awesome music mind you). I hated seeing Michael Shanks die. I thought he was an awesome compliment to Mike. He usually nails down the whole 'believable rambling' acting style.

The show is described as a modern-day Jekyll and Hyde tale about a partially paralyzed forensic psychiatrist (Lloyd Owen) with a split personality whose alter ego is a charismatic criminal. Helfer plays a psychiatrist who evaluates suspects for the police. Morgan Turner has also joined the cast as the dauther of Owen's character.
