I saw this yesterday. I gotta say, one of the funniest movies that I have seen in a long time. VINTAGE Will Ferrell. I bet the 80% of the lines were improv.
A lot of stuff was definitely over the top, but it worked.

I got there late and was in the front row at the very side, that alone would make me hate most movies, yet I still laughed my ass off. Loved this movie.

Derek was a definate surprise. I've seen that guy in some random shit here and there but his role in the movie was hilarious and he pulled it off perfectly. When they almost crash the car while he is improving lyrics to Sweet Child of Mine...and then continues singing moments after. Fucking classic.
Also, John C Riley and Will Ferrell have two of the funniest looking faces in Hollywood. They could just have a movie of them making stupid faces at the camera and shouting things and i'd probably see it.

As funny as this movie was.. I thought it was completely excessive with the cussing and sexual innuendo... I have no problem with it, because i have no soul and could give a shit. However if some parts made me a tad uncomfortable.. I can only imagine how many fags and up tight bible pushers walked out of this.
I just find it a lack of writing and creative talent to have to fill scenes with only cussing. Was there no other way to have the same effect? They seemed to cuss merely for the fact that they wanted to have a scene to cuss that much in (which was the whole movie)
But... still funny.

It is December 2nd, and there's a 2 disc unrated DVD full of extras/deleted stuff (Blu Ray as well)

just caught it on dvd and i was disappointed, other than the music video it wasn't that funny, it felt kind of forced, like they were trying too hard. boats and hoes was hilarious though
