Among the story lines for Season 5 will be the return of Domenick Lombardozzi, the actor who plays Dom.[5] Ellin wrote him in intending for Dom to be a permanent fixture of the entourage.[5] Unfortunately, he didn’t anticipate the audience’s negative reaction to the character, which ultimately led to Lombardozzi’s early exit.[5]
Ellin has a personal goal to bring Dom back, but this time with a storyline viewers can empathize with. Giving him terminal cancer is one idea that was considered. It is also rumored that rapper Saigon will return to the series in Season 5. Also Emmanuelle Chriqui will be reprising her role as Sloan for one episode this season. [6]
It has been confirmed by various news outlets that Rapper Bow Wow will play Eric's newest client: Charlie, a young, up-and-coming comedian trying to get a break. [5] Ellin says he has four more seasons of material in reserve, implying that Entourage will probably run through season eight.[5] T.I. is also expected to make a guest appearance in the fifth season.
Among the other celebrities appearing on the show are Jamie-Lynn Sigler who will be playing herself and a potential love interest for one of the boys in a 3 episode arc.[7] TV Guide reports that appearing as themselves will be Mark Wahlberg, Tony Bennett, Los Angeles Lakers' star Andrew Bynum, golfer Phil Mickelson, and actor Eric Roberts. Other guests confirmed include Lukas Haas and Giovanni Ribisi (as screenwriters), Fran Drescher and Kevin Pollak (as a Beverly Hills couple).[8] Martin Landau is also set to reprise his role as Bob Ryan.
Season Five also promises Johnny Drama a hit show, a break-up and a daytime meltdown on "The View". [9] The scene, taped outside of Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, includes The View co-hosts Sherri Shepherd, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Whoopi Goldberg. [9]

Great ep. I like what they did with E, and how he's trying to come onto his own. The whole beach thing was kind of weird, but it works I guess.

Drama and Turtle with the shenanigans at the end was fucking golden though.

What exactly did the director do to fuck over Vince? I didn't get that part. Did he only want Vince to act interested in the movie so he could get another actor for less money?

I still think that that agent was fucking with Ari, and that the director actually wanted Vince.

But, what that agent (I forget his name) told Ari was that he was basically pawning Vince in order to get Emile to commit at the same deal/less deal than what he wanted.

I thought E was really great in this episode. He showed that he can both do what is needed to get his clients what they need...but he is also really green, and a bit of a hypocrite. This is the most frustrating show on television. It's in season fucking five and how many movies has Vince made in the series?

-Aquaman
-Queens Blvd
-Medellin (which was a complete flop)

At first the show was awesome because it was about Vince and the guys basically having unlimited money and trying to score chicks as much as possible. With hilarious stuff in between. Now Vince is broke, and apparently the person who starred in supposedly the highest grossing movie of all time can't get a decent offer? WTF? Can't anything go right on this show?

The beauty of Entourage is that it allowed us to live vicariously through the guys as they live Hollywood lifestyle. Now, we're supposed to watch as the show goes virtually nowhere and Vince does jack shit to get his life together. Shouldn't he be winning oscars and making, I don't know, movies?

E is supposed to be the main protagonist but something about him pisses me off. You have to watch from the beginning to remember why he's likable, because most of the time he whines like a bitch and suffers from short man complex. I think that's why so many people hate him. The only thing saving this show is Jeremy Piven being fucking hilarious week in and week out. Forget "supporting actor". He should be winning "best actor" Emmys because he carries the whole damn show.

My point: cut this shit out, have Vince do a movie that gets him rich again, have more than 10 seconds of hot girls per episode, keep letting Ari be Ari, and stop ending every other episode acting like they've fucked their whole careers up.

And I hope Dom dies of cancer. Doug Ellin is a complete idiot if he thinks that douchebag should be a regular character.

Stop being a faggot. If the show was the same every week it would suck. That fact that you want nothing but partys and happy endings just tells me that you have no taste in media. I think that do a great job of showing some of the struggles of a working actor in hollywood while still being funny. Ari is always golden. Drama is always golden. Eric is kind of a faggot, but that's why it's so great everytime Ari blasts him... Which is like 2-5 times an episode.

All true. In addition, Hollywood is pretty much like this. Frivolous meetings, characters that resurface, deals that get fucked for politics, shit that get's through for relation ships. Also, it is loosely based on Marky Mark, who really was broke for a while, a couple of time.
For those of you who want to see 'Entourage:The Movie' so you can get the whole thing in one site down, wait for it. For the rest of us, there is a week by week window of hilarity into tinsel town which I for one enjoy.

Ari taking the job at the studio would make things interesting, but the show works because of Ari and Vince. They save his career, Vince ruins it, Ari bails him out. Its a back and forth. They do this and suddenly, that aspect of the show is gone and Vince has no agent. Though I suppose that E could become his agent and they deal with Ari for movie deals or something.

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – Ari Gold has a friend. Who knew?
Gary Cole is set to join HBO's comedy "Entourage" as a regular next season, playing Hollywood agent Andrew Klein, Ari's (Jeremy Piven) oldest Hollywood friend from their early days in the business.
Cole is introducing the character this season in a three-episode arc slated to air in November.
"Entourage," which is halfway though its fifth season, recently was picked up for a sixth season to begin production in early 2009 for a summer launch.
Cole recently co-starred in the Judd Apatow-produced "Pineapple Express" and on ABC's "Desperate Housewives." In November will join the cast of the Steppenwolf Theater Company production of "August: Osage County" at London's National Theater.

Anyone else see around the 8th minute of the episode, Ari's wife talking on the iPhone...upside down.

She most definitely was.

So does this mean Ed Norton is gonna be on the show since he's the lead in Smoke Jumpers?

El Torpedo

I imagine Dana Gordon could get Vince the lead.

I don't really get her in the new position though, Ari turns it down and they've got a runner up the're willing to use but the guy who says he doesn't want the job suggests another person and they just go with it? I guess if we see more Dana Gordon I should just quit being such a faggot and fap fap away

Looks like Jason Patric is the lead. Remind him he was molested in Sleepers!

And he was involved with the movie that E was selling for those rednecks. I don't think it was smoke jumpers though.

CrazyCarl

yeah, it was Smokejumpers. Ed Norton changed the title to that from "9 Brave Souls"

We had a Sloan sighting!!!!

Awesome monologue by Ari when he storms the women's award show. And thank God Seth got punched in the end, I hate him as an actor and a character on this show.

Also, does anyone know the song that was being played as E went to the restaurant to meet Seth?

I was kind of hoping to see more crazy Jason Patric, but it was still a decent episode. I like seeing Vince arguing with the director, and I wonder which way it will go: Vince has no lines, and the movie doesn't help his career or Vince gets some accolades for his acting.

How many episodes are there this season? 14?

I am willing to bet he doesn't get any rep for his acting ability, however i would also bet that he gets no lines but will get offered a few jobs right away after this because he will be seen as an actor that listens to the director and is easy to work with.

Except that he's been pissing Verner off every step of the way

Not a huge downer, but they should've ended it with Vince getting the part, but not making up with E. Save it for season 6.

I hope Vince in a Scorsese film is like Larry David in a Scorsese film.
