I'm seriously sick of watching this shitty football team every year.

It wouldn't feel like Thanksgiving without the Lions. They could be good again one day

Haven't they been saying that about the Lions for a few decades now?

They had Barry for awhile. At least he was fun to watch

I like tradition but it needs a shaking up. Take two teams and let them have a five year run and so on. I like watching my team on Thanksgiving but then there is a 50/50 chance that holiday is going to suck, i.e. 1998 vs. the Vikings.

How can you honestly give a shit? It's thanksgiving and they're always on. Who cares if they suck.

How can you not love the Lions? They're lovably pathetic. I only wish that the Titans were still 11-0. Undefeated vs undefeating would have made for a pretty solid storyline to add some additional interest in the inevitable beatdown

Your boys had Leanne Rhines perform at halftime one year. I think she looks like a goofy inbred. I'm not really going anywhere with any of this.

I'm fine with it. At least you don't have to pay close attention to it or anything. The Barry Sanders days were a lot of fun at least

No, I need something to make fun of on Thanksgiving aside from my family

Play a good game then, like they try to with Monday Night Football. If the Lions are good, sure play them, but crappy football teams shouldn't get a marquee game out of tradition.

I'm a purist. Detroit is Thanksgiving Day football. No it's not Barry Sanders or Stan White for that matter, but they belong on Turkey Day. Hell, a good drubbing is good to watch isn't it?

who the hell cares? all the good football is played on new years day anyhow.

It could be worse. We could have to watch the Seahawks play on Thanksgiving instead...

Which really hurts me to say, btw. I've been a Seachicken's fan all my life practically.

41-10 at the end of three. Tradition or not, fuck this. It's not even entertaining to watch a game like this. Pull the plug motherfuckers.

What a useless, uninteresting team.

Nothing like waking up, turning on the game, and find it already being 35-3 before you're even had anything to eat.

Pacific Time Zone FTW!

Normally I wouldn't care too much, but this is the first time I am alone for Thanksgiving and actually have time to watch the games with full attention. So this kinda blows, get them off my tv NFL. Do it.

with more games on thanksgiving i don't really think it matters if there is one shitty game. at some point you have get away from the tv.

i would rather walk away from a lions game that is rout. then be pulled away from a nail bitter that is going strong.

Dump the Detriot Lions from the Thanksgiving Day NFL schedule. I said it another post.

If the lions go 0-16, dump Detroit from the NFL altogether?

CrazyCarl

they can join the Big 10 and then we can finally have a conference championship game

Billy
12-09-2008, 09:14 PM
If they joined the NCAA they might be able to win a preconference game or two against a division 2 or 3 team.
