Well? For me it was all the way back in 2006 in Corvallis. Apparently I was driving through downtown with my high beams on, but that was a damned lie. He just wanted to stop me because he was a white cop, and since I'm white I knew it must have been profiling. I've only ever got one ticket, it was for speeding in a school zone. Cost me 125 bucks.

Hows about you?

summer of '06, busted for not wearing a seatbelt, then got an additional ticket for not providing valid proof of insurance, I was working for a car dealership and I was driving on a dealer plate so I probably could have fought it but I didn't bother since it was only another $25

prior to that, I had been pulled over no less than 5 times in the last 7 years or so and got let off every time... my favourite story is getting pulled over for going 80KM/h in a 50 zone, with no seatbelt on, by a female cop

I got a dwi in february, biggest bs ever. I blew a .082.

Before that I've been pulled over about 10 times for various reasons, got 3 tickets out of it. One for 79mph in a 60mph zone, one for 60mph in a 50mph zone, and one for expired vehicle license sticker. The expired sticker wasn't a pull over, I was moving some weight through a checkpoint, and used the "You think I'm stupid enough to try to move drugs through here with an expired sticker?" excuse.

I got pulled doing 49mph down this hill that was goes through a school zone. It was like 5:00 at night and the cop was going to give me a ticket for 29 mph over the speed limit. I explained that the sign said "School Zone 7:00am to 3:00pm" and he ended up giving me a ticket for 5mph over. I think non-school hours the speed limit is still like 30-35mph so he could've given me a bigger ticket, but he was pretty cool about it.

this one time I got pulled over for doing about 75 in a 50, when I gave the cop my licence, he asked me if the address was current, I said no, I had moved recently and hadn't had the chance to change it yet. He very sternly informed me that I was supposed to change it within 10 days, and failing to do so would result in getting a ticket. I told him I had just moved 2 days earlier

he let me go... with a somewhat bewildered look on his face

My first ticket was for going 77 in a 40 when I was 16. It was in a safety corridor too, so it came out to be around $400. I told the judge I was going with the flow of traffic, which he believed, and only made me pay $50 and go to traffic school.

The best was in traffic school, they made us do an equation with the speed limit, where we were going, how fast we were going, etc. to show that speeding only saves you a few seconds, maybe a minute or two. My speeding saved me 25 minutes. Fuck the speed limit.

About a year ago this time for "rolling" a stop sign. I stopped. Piggy had to meet quota. The kicker was I didn't have my updated insurance card yet (we just changed plans) so I got a ticket for that and an automatic court apperance. I got the money back for the insurance ticket, but still had to pay court costs and $75 for the rolled stop sign. Ended up being $104. Damn the man.

Got pulled over for speeding couple years back. I had picked up an 1/8 of sweet sweet nug and was heading back to idiotbrain's house when a fucking cop decided to stop me. Cop came over asked if I had been drinking and I told him that I had 1 earlier, he made me get out of the vehicle where I promptly rolled my window up and locked the door. (later his backup arrived, walked straight to my car tried to open it and had the fucking greatest retard look ever when he discovered it was locked. The original office just held up my keys and said "He locked it")

He made me do the field tests in which I passed. He placed me under arrest for a fucking PI and told me to call someone to pick up the car. I called Idiot over and him and his neighbor came picked up the car and smoked that night while I sat in the drunk tank. Fucking cop was just trying to get his "first" arrest. Talked to the judge and they just dismissed the whole incident as time served.

I fucking hate cops. After almost 8 years of a clean driving record, I got caught doing 74 in a 60, It was fucking retarded since everyone does at least 80 in that zone. I didn't even realize that I was speeding. I got a $110 ticket. Then 2 weeks later, I got another ticket for not wearing my seatbelt ($125). I was definitely the worst year of my life. All last August.

I was pretty pissed off that I didn't pay both my tickets till about a month ago. And drove around for almost a year with a suspended license.

I have a friend who gets wet for every male cop she sees. God. I hate her for that.

but one time, I was at a 4 way stop in my parents city. And I did a roll over and didn't have my seatbelt on. And a cop was turning towards me, and stopped by my window and told me to "do a complete stop next time and wear your seatbelt" and then drove away. But this was before I got my tickets and started hating cops.

And seriously. What the fuck is with Cops and their "speed traps" and their "seatbelt safety week"? What? You have nothing else to do but sit in your fucking car and look for people breaking the law?

I can't express how much I despise them.

I've gotten pulled over so many times I can't even count it. I'm always driving home late at night after "bar hours" because I've been a working musician for so long. I've only received one ticket through all those times. (and that was during the day).

They're fishing for DUI's....90% of the time they don't even run my info...they just see that I've not been drinking and let me go.

I got pulled over less than a month ago....2:30am. Officer said I was going 62mph in a 45mph zone. This was pure bullshit.....I even told him so. Even though I respectfully argued with him...he just let me go.

I have a feeling that I've received more tickets than most.

My best speeding ticket story is from back in the day, I was driving home but feeling sick. Anyway, suddenly a case of really bad diarrhea threatened, so I raced home. I got lit up doing 75 in a 45 but I was about a half mile from my house so I ignored the cop and kept going. He pulled me over in my driveway and was all pissed off asking why I didn't pull over. I told him that I had the flu and I was about to shit my pants. He made me give him my driver's license (it matched the address I was parked in) and he let me go inside and take care of business. But he told me not to make a scene and not bring anyone outside with me. I was gone for atleast 20 minutes (partly cuz I was in bad shape and partly cuz I hoped he'd get sick of waiting and leave) but he was still in my driveway when I got back. Wrote me up for speeding.

I've been to traffic school atleast a half dozen times and probably had about 10 speeding tickets, a couple tickets for failure to make a complete stop, a seatbelt ticket, a couple fix it tickets, been pulled over 3 times for suspected DUI and been pulled over another 20 times for driving a shitty car in a nice neighborhood late at night (Driving While Being a Minority). All by the time I was in my early twenties.

I received a notice from the DMV stating that I was in the bottom 2% of drivers in the State of California, threatening me with a driver's license suspension if I recevied one more point on my record. I gave up my wreckless driving abandon after that. That was about a dozen years ago. I've picked up approximately two tickets since then.

I've been given at least 7 speeding tickets in my life. Luckily, I found a lawyer who makes them disappear. Depending on how he's feeling when you call him, it costs anywhere from $200 to $350 but the tickets are gone. Not reduced, not changed to "faulty equipment" or any of that crap. Just gone.

One hell of a system we have.

Oh, also got a DUI in college (again, thanks to a good lawyer and a cop that didn't take good notes, I got out of that too), 2 tickets for not wearing a seatbelt (along with 3 warning tickets) and had to go to driving class last year to get out of a ticket from another state.

I've been pulled over three times total for speeding.

One for barely over, bet I could have beat that ticket if I tried.

Once for considerable amount over but I considered the speed reasonable and prudent for the road conditions, (40 in a 25 in town on a main double lane street that was deserted, even saw the cop but for some reason thought, oh he'll understand)

And once doing well over 100 between states that I totally deserved. Nice cop though. Had a laugh at the 4 miles it took him to catch up.

I got pulled over twice in the same god damn city for stupid shit...

One was for a roll stop during a Sunday afternoon and I had a pizza for my boyfriend at the time and the second was at 1am when I was following my friend home "too closely"

I got out of both because I used "my dad is a cop" thing on the first and the late night one was I used the "someone could be a fake cop and rape me" and that is why I was following my friend closely, so we woulndt be hurt..

First is true, the second was bullshit, I was just riding the ass to get laid..

Got out of both..FUCK SIMI VALLEY POLICE!

I once got pulled while delivering pizza. There was/is a neighborhood in the town that we could refuse to deliver to because of all the crime but it was daytime so I figured it'd be ok. As soon as I entered the neighborhood I was pulled. Cop came up to the car and said, " You know why I pulled you, don't you? It's because you're white. The only white people that come into this neighborhood are trying to buy drugs." I showed him the delivery ticket and the pizza and he still followed me the entire time.

So, I guess I was a victim of racial profiling (or as I prefer to call it, using statistics to help prevent crime).

I get pulled over a few times a year because I speed regularly. I haven't gotten a ticket in years, though.

Cops see USMC sticker and (long outdated) military ID and give me a break. We don't have many former military members around here. The cops tend to assume that former military means "non-spoiled-whiny-douchebag", which is a semi-rarity in this neck of the woods.

EDIT: Advice to everyone: Everyone knows you should be respectful if you want to avoid a ticket. Here's a next level trick. Learn to identify their rank insignia. Address them by rank when they come up to your window ("Sergeant" instead of "Officer"). That will help create a non-adverserial situation. Don't know why, but it does.

Just about two years ago. I didn't have my seatbelt on. merged in to the turning lane right to my house. A cop going the opposite way flipped a bitch and pulled me over when I was in my driveway.

"Got that seatbelt on pretty quick didn't you"
"No, I had it on all along" (I said it direct and stern)
"No you didn't"
Yes I did!"
"License and...."

He let me go. I guess maybe it had something to do with standing up to him and telling him I right and he is wrong? Never the less he didn't even give me a warning.

I always wear my seatbelt now.
