Looks pretty badass. It makes me think of that show, 'sons of anarchy'. I hope they dont fill this one with weak-assed repetitive 'follow this guy' missions. That shit got old real fast in gta4.
What do you guys think?

I wouldnt be surprised if they eventually sell it as an add on disc, like they did with oblivion.

This should be under the xbox forum as only us in the 360 master race are getting it.
I'll get this for sure but it better be like at least 7 hours long.

You dont think it wouldnt be (eventually) ported over to PS3, ala oblivion amd bioshock?
If it sells, I would put money down they port it over. Especially if PS3 sales pick up before christmas.

Depending on how they go about this, that could be an insanely large download.

I hope they add a few more things to do in the game along with the new storyline missions. I am sure they could easily open up a few more of the buildings, or convert some of them into stores/areas to explore. Some more clothing stores would be nice along with a few more mini game like areas just to kill some time in a few new ways.

Maybe it will and maybe it won't but until Rockstar announce something this should be in the xbox forum. Anyone remember the exact number of $ micosoft paid for the exclusive rights for this? I forgot.

So it's almost here. It will be released 3AM EST, so I won't be staying up for it.
$20, about 10 hours of gameplay. Niko Bellic will making a cameo, but no new lines.. just rehashed and rearranged from previous recordings.
I can't wait to play it though, it's going to be a ton of fun. Between this and Street Fighter IV, I'm going to have a helluva a week.

Spoiler tags in case you don't want the 'surprise' to be ruined..
Spoiler alert! If you're going to play Grand Theft Auto IV (http://kotaku.com/tag/grand-theft-auto-iv/): The Lost and Damned (http://kotaku.com/tag/the-lost-and-damned/) and find digitally rendered flaccid penises offensive, you may want to avert your sensitive eyes during one in-game cinematic. Rockstar Games (http://kotaku.com/tag/rockstar-games/), no stranger to controversy as marketing tool, will likely come under fire for its inclusion of completely uncensored, full frontal male nudity in The Lost and Damned, giving us our very first glimpse of digital dick on the Xbox 360. To say it was a surprise would be an understatement, as the scene in question is expert at providing flirtatious glimpses of one character's fleshy business, only to give Congressman Thomas Stubbs' junk plenty of screen time.
Allow us to set the scene...
Stubbs, in his first meeting with lead character Johnny Klebbitz, is receiving a massage at the private gentleman's club Jousters when we meet him. The Congressman, dressed in nothing but a towel, quickly becomes pretty comfortable with his new biker friend, choosing to deliver his monologue in the buff.
While Rockstar's cinematics director teases the player with mere glimpses of Mr. Stubbs' junk, during the final moments of the cinematic, we get to see everything: a very poorly groomed, uncut and unabashed set of man tools.
We've opted not to include a shot of the scene, instead choosing to show the next encounter between Messrs. Klebitz and Stubbs, which also happens to be mostly clothing free.
The ESRB rating for the game—which is "M" for Mature—does make mention of the gratuitous digital dick on display, noting that the game has "Nudity" in its content. The original Grand Theft Auto IV (http://kotaku.com/tag/grand-theft-auto-iv/) is listed as having only "Partial nudity."
There is no lack of homosexual innuendo in the expansion, as the Lost bikers regularly question one another's sexuality and gush about the love of brotherhood throughout the game, but it certainly was surprising to see Rockstar go there.

In case you haven't it and don't mind waiting a few extra days, Walmart.com has the game and a 3 month live gold card for $26. They'll ship it to your local store for free.

I downloaded it around 3am.. Yeah, I actually stayed up, but I crashed as soon as I hit accept. Was playing it a bit ago, then quit. Now I don't know how to get back to the Lost and Damned, and there is no option in Niko's phone to bring me there.. any ideas?
Edit: I just found out you have to go to the pause menu then start a new game. I thought I had saved it though, but I can't see a file, oh well- I only played up to the first achievement.
So far I am lovin' the sawn-off shotty.

You can turn them off. Just go to "display" and turn off "noise." Takes the "film grain" off.
First thing I did.
I don't really know why devs do that. They did that in Mass Effect as well... As long as I can turn it off I don't care, but it's still odd.

So far I think it is. This is longer and has more content than several $60 retail games I've played this year.

Yup it's by far the best dlc out there.

Yeah, I think these devs who put out 3-4 hour DLC for $10 are going to have rethink things now...
The idea of making a new story in the same world is interesting. So much DLC is usually a new area(Fable 2/Fallout 3/Mass Effect) with a continuation of the story. But with the giant worlds that they're already created, these games could so so much more by creating new characters and new stories in the existing world rather than spending their time making new areas.

2.5/5
The game itself is only a couple hours long and it replays a few missions that you already did as Niko. Being a member of a Biker Gang is fun but limited. Also I did like some of the new weapons.
My biggest issue is that for $20 I didn't get much. Its pretty much an expansion pack. But I got maybe 8 hours of gameplay. No new places to explore and a lot of repetitive side missions. Just as an example the $20 Shivering Isle expansion for Oblivion gave 30 hours of new gameplay and a new plane/area to explore.
