There is talk of the Pro Bowl being played the week before the Super Bowl. I guess it's good if you aren't in the Super Bowl, but I wouldn't want my guys to suit up if the big game were still on the line.

No. One would hope at least some of the best players would be on the best two teams, putting their exhibition game one week before the championship is just flat dumb.

How about pushing the season a week back or two, and putting in a Pro-Bowl week during mid-season (a league-wide bye week). I'd much rather see a Pro Bowl game than a pre-season game. The only issue there would be full season stats would no longer relate to voting, but it works like that in all the other major sports.

They should push it out into the place of the HOF game

that is a better idea. or have a the pro bowlers go against the CFL all stars, or a european all star set.

How about we pit them against the ESPN football crew! Cowher can coach, Swami can anchor the O-Line, and I'm sure by seasons end they'll sign at least 50 more former NFL Players to provide useless insights for them. I mean, who the fuck signs Tim Hasslebeck?

They should replace the game with a skills competition. I'd be much more inclined to watch Peyton Manning trying to throw a ball into a moving target than watching him halfass for two series against a vanilla defense that doesn't give a shit.

That would be a great idea. I remember watching an NFL QB Challenge on the NFL Network a few months ago and it was pretty entertaining. Some possibilities...

Offence
- QB Longest Pass (Jamarcus 60+ Yarder anyone?)
- QB Accuracy (Aforementioned moving targets)
- RB/WR Speed & Agility Races
- PK/P Longest FG/Punt

Defence
The only one I can think of now is hardest hit competition where they have some sort of pressure-gauge to measure the strength of a tackle.
