The AMC original series “Breaking Bad” will begin production on its second season July 15 in Albuquerque, N.M.
Series star Bryan Cranston will direct the second-season premiere, his first time directing for the series. Cranston directed several episodes of “Malcolm in the Middle.”
“Breaking Bad’s” 13-episode second season will premiere on AMC in early 2009.
“As we ramp up production for the next season of AMC’s original drama series ‘Breaking Bad,’ we look forward to returning to the endless visual settings of Albuquerque to not only work with the talented artists and crew base that the city offers, but also it serves as such a perfect backdrop for the evolution of Walt White's character,” Vlad Wolynetz, VP of production, series and movies at AMC, said in a statement.
“Breaking Bad” comes from writer-producer-director Vince Gilligan (“The X-Files), fellow High Bridge Productions executive producer Mark Johnson, Gran Via Productions and Sony Pictures Television.

The Benjamin Bratt show(The Cleaner) is on A&E, not AMC. It's not bad, though

Breaking Bad is one of the best and most original shows on tv in a long time. I can't wait for season 2, and I really hope they can keep up the quality and pacing. I'm already beginning to wonder how much longer they can keep this show going.

Bumping this for the season finale tomorrow night.

This is probably the best show on television right now. Bryan Cranston's done another out of this world performance that will probably net him another Emmy, and Aaron Paul has also done a great job which should at least net him a best supporting nod. Also, Bob Odenkirk's done a great job in a Tom Hagen-type role. The writing for this show is incredible, and they do such a great job building tension and leaving shocks throughout each episode that aren't overdone.

As far as tomorrow night goes, we get the fallout of Walt pretty much indirectly killing Jesse's manipulative cunt of a girlfriend, as well as the crime scene at Walt's house, which has been alluded to throughout the cold openers. All of the reviews of the finale so far have been extremely positive... I can't wait for it.

amazing finale. Finally some closure on the crime scene throughout the season.

I think if he tells Skyler, she'll tell Hank, then he's fucked. Ready for season 3 already.

I just caught up. Excellent show...I was fiending for a drama that could compete with some of HBO's previous efforts and I found it in Breaking Bad.

I love the contrast between super-intelligent mumbo jumbo and thug street life jimba jamba. It's almost comparable to the wire....(not really)

Anyways, are they making a Season 3?
