0-2 in conference play.

Might as well do this...

I like them against Georgia Tech.

Perhaps, though, they should see if they can get Chaminade on the schedule a few more times.

EDIT: IBTP

ha ha ha..

we get everyone's best shot. think back to the wake game: UNC already had one loss and was playing an undefeated team on their home court. Wake won..and their fans still rushed the court. ha ha

UNC will lose only one more conference game.

allow me to vent for a moment:

BC however, will lose this weekend to 3rd ranked and undefeated Wake, and their pathetic fans probably will not even sell out the place because they only know how to get up for "name brand teams" like UNC and Duke.. typical of why a BC home basketball ticket is probably the 5th most desired ticket in that town.

That probably has more to do with the fact that we have actual sports to go watch in this town. Dump any college team into Boston and they'll automatically be number 5.

Add to that the fact that most of us who live here year-round resent that we have to live in close proximity to the tools who populate BU/BC/NU and what you're left with is a really unpopular college team.

I understand. My point was though that there are enough BC students in school on mommy and daddy's dime that they schould get up for EVERY home game. Yet unless you are UNC or Duke or maybe one more school, no dice. UNC does not go to chesnut hill this year. duke comes in february. so an undefeated team will be coming to town this week, named Wake Forest. And I bet the atmosphere there will sucketh-outloudeth.

Los Angeles as MLB, NBA, and NHL and the beaches. Yet UCLA and USC sell out their home games. same for ATL. It is a BOSTON thing.

This quote amused me, because there are probably more student's in college at UNC or Duke 'on mommy and daddy's dime' than at BC. If not, it's probably even.

Ok, BC has 12,500 total enrollement.
but how many seats does BC's arena hold? answer: 8,604
seats are sold to alumni and regualr fans too. Selling it out should be no big feat, seeing how good BC has been the last 4 years...hell going back to 1994 when they knocked UNC out of the NCAA tourney

UNC;s Dean Dome: 21,000+
NC STate's RBS Arena: 20,000+

And how much do you want to bet that Dean Dome sells out because of frontrunner and bandwagon fans, or people with no real interest in the team going for 'the experience', or because of 40 year olds who never attended the school but who follow the team closely because, before the Panthers, there were no major sports team in either of the Carolinas? I expect you think of UNC as...well, I don't know what you think of UNC beyond just being a fan, but UNC sells out because they're a brand name; nothing more, nothing less. Same goes for Duke and every other successful sporting team.

UNC sells out for the important games (all conference games and all important non-conference games) and has only a few tickets available in the rafters for the Elons and Hampton College warm-ups games.

what I was talking about is how BC seems to only get excited about the Dukes and the UNC's of the world. even though they will be facing a conference foe who is undefeated and ranked 3rd in the nation coming to town. I understand about the fact that UNC and DUke are brand names....just like the Yankees sell-out baseball arenas wherever they go. But Wake Forest of Tim Duncan and Chris Paul is not exactly a generic college, too.

So I am saying if BC cannot find 8500 fans of whatever ilk who can come in out of the cold and have that arena hopping, they suck as fans.

(oh, and Charlotte got the Hornets in 1988. Then the Panthers in 1993-- playing their first game in 1995)

PPS: Not sure what you meant with the "not sure what UNC means to you" line. I mean, I am a UNC grad, so does that help any crasher?
