Well they did say that he has the equivalent of a pencil width of tunnel vision in both eyes, so he isn't completely blind. He really can't sing very well, touching story or not, he just isn't that good.
While I agree that tatiana is the most annoying person ever to compete, she at least sings better than 50% of the people on the show. I'm just not sure if I can take watching her anymore.
The dude with the square glasses has to be the front runner for the guys and that Ann-Marie chick is probably one of the top girls IMO (she can sing as well as being smoking hot)

I'm convinced that was typecasting. Though their singing styles, looks, and fashion sense were totally different, I think the producers put him in the same type as his friend (the clear front runner) just because they are friends. They let some very uninteresting and not very good (the first sing off winning contestant, plus several others) people through that weren't in that guys league. They told him he was not original and he was forgettable...I didn't think that could be further from the truth. In fact, I pegged him and his buddy as the 2 favorites.

A few of the contestants in Tuesday night's episode, including Pacitti, flubbed the lyrics but made it through to the next round.
Pacitti, who auditioned in Louisville, Ky., entered "Idol" with a showbiz resume. She had a record deal with Geffen and released an album in 2006. Billboard reports it sold more than 16,000 copies. "American Idol" judge Kara DioGuardi recognized Pacitti when she auditioned in Louisville, Ky.
She also starred in "Annie" on Broadway as a young girl, and sang on the soundtracks for the movies "Legally Blonde" and "Bratz." Britney Spears' tune "Out From Under," from her latest album, was first performed by Pacitti on the "Bratz" soundtrack.
All that experience was enough to draw complaints from viewers who thought she was too polished for the top-rated show, which purports to pluck raw talent out of nowhere and turn them into stars.
However, eight seasons in, "Idol" has selected singers who have spent time in the recording studio.
Pacitti's situation echoed the controversy over last season's finalists, Carly Smithson and Kristy Lee Cook, who had previous record deals.

Good point about the type-casting. Funny though that the judges' criticized him for not being unique. Dude was Blackinese, had a facial piercing, and also had a clear sense of style in terms of the way he dressed.

I wanted Ann-Marie to advance but she sucked. As annoying as Tatiana was, I thought she was easily the best female singer yesterday with the little cute blond second.

Danny was top male with Anupe and the country guy second.

There are going to be at least 2 from this group that get eliminated that I feel could have gone to the top 10.

By far tonight's show had the hardest group of the three thus far to pick a "Top 12" trio from. Lil Rounds killed it. The girl who used to have the pink/purple streaks in her hair has an excellent voice. That blonde Kendall is hot and should register well with country fans and heterosexual males. The Puerto Rican dude has a great voice and showed genuine emotion. The strange kid with the headband could make it through purely on freakshow factor. There's the blind guy, who by the way was very mediocre and the judges treated him as though he'd cured an orphanage full of terminally ill children. He apparently "moved mountains" with a performance any other contestant would have been slammed for.

As much as I like Anoop, I somehow can't see him as a solo recording artist. He's good for entertaining but I'm not even sure what genre of music he would fit into. Most of the others in the final 13 have a certain style that you can say "she's country" or "he's blues", but I just can't see where Anoop fits.
I liked his Bobby Brown, but even that doesn't have much of a place today, and I don't think he could pull it off for more than a song or two anyway.

One way the producers could slant the results of the voting for certain contestants is to have different numbers of lines available for each contestant. The numbers are frequently busy when trying to call.
All they need to do is give the person they want voted off only 1 or 2 lines open and give the rest 10-20, presto that person is gone and it all looks legit to the public.

I wasn't overly impressed with Lil Rounds this week either (or last week for that matter). I know she's incredibly talented, she just hasn't proven that yet since it was trimmed down to 13. This week kind of changed things up for me. Some of the people I liked weren't some of the people I normally like and vice versa. Best of the week was fairly easy for me Kris blew everyone away and I hadn't really liked him at all before tonight. Megan was pretty horrible again at the bottom, I would say she was gone for sure, but Matt was terrible and will easily be in the bottom 3 again.
