The Special FX are terrible (the flaming oil tanker). This movie cost $145 million to make. what the fuck?

I love the fast and furious series. Corny and innacurate but fun.

They're absolutely horrendous. The soundtrack to the last one made me hate Asians. And it was stupid. Stupid stupid stupid. The girls were hot, but when they opened their mouths, my face was sandblasted with annoyance. Stupid stupid stupid. And not entertaining at all. I kept looking at the time, hoping it would end soon.

If you're into cars, they're extremely fun to pick apart. That's one of the most fun things about these movies. If not, I could see how they'd be boring.

I love how in Tokyo Drift a viper slams into ... whatever that old 70's muscle car is... and the viper doesn't crumble like the flimsy fiberglass toy it is.

I liked Tokyo drift more than the first two. Japanese cars can't compete with American muscle head on. You can build a 1000+ horse power Corvette engine for under $10K. You need that much for a ricer just to compete with a stock Vette.

No, I meant the nitpicking was fun until it got to the third one. And agree with you, I just found it ridiculous and horribly played out.

But rice is good for going around corners at obscene speeds...
and mitsu's and subi's are the best way to go for those of us in america who like going fast down dirt roads. sideways.

1000hp lsx for 10k? I'd like to see that.

I love it how Vin Diesel thought he was too good to reappear for the 2nd one. Then as his star faded, he thought that a cameo in part 3 would be enough. So I guess a full blown starring role in this one means that he's hit rock bottom.

these are just fun, mindless movies for ricey fanboys and enthusiasts to play at and pick apart (though the fanboys usually adopt whatever new trend appears in the movie... on their cavaliers).
on the bright side every time they release a movie the value of my buddy's fd mazda rx-7 goes up. 60k original miles on an immaculate car... yeah, i think this is about as good as it's going to get for selling.

i find these movies quite shitty, but understand they have their place. only reason i watched the first two is b/c my roommate brought the dvd's home. how can anyone find them 'inspirational' is beyond me. i live my life quarter mile at a time. lulz. really? that's cool, i live mine one-busted-nut/new-poon/pay-raise at a time. floor boards falling off cars b/c rivets popped off due to excessive speed... orly?
i see i'm not the only one w/ this sentiment but they must be making a profit so what do we know. as for me, i'd rather watch a dtm season-in-review dvd. it would certainly have better racing, not to mention more action.
that quarter mile quote seems a bit like a copy on a steve mcqueen quote from 'le mans'
i watch these movies just for paul walker's classic delivery of tough guy lines. i've seen middle schoolers with more acting talent

When I saw the ad during the Super Bowl, I said to marquis, "A third Fast and the Furious?!" and he's like "Try fourth, don't forget Tokyo Drift." and I'm all "I thought that was the second one."
That's how unmemorable these movies are.

the inaccuracies of the movies are what make them fun. if i'm entertained for an hour and a half, it'll be worth it, same as any other movie.

You could tune R34 Skyline engines to way over 1000hp...
And as for competing, I'm pretty sure that a GT-R drives rings around everything not called McLaren or Bugatti.

These are mindless entertainment. Anyone who goes in looking for factual accuracy should not be seeing these movies and is taking everything way to serious. These are never made to win Oscars, they are made to have big explosions, street racing and fighting. Take it for what it is an enjoy.
Saying that, I would never see it in theaters, and will not be trying to download it as soon as I can, but eventually I will see it.

Yeah that won't be happening if you want the engine to last for more then 2 minutes.
Don't comment on things you don't know about. 1000 HP may be becoming more common place for LSx engines, but it is also very common for Supras and Skylines among other cars.

They should rename this one Really Fast and Really Furious. Plus if Jordana Brewster does not get naked in this one there is no point in seeing it.
