Doubtful, since the Vandals were all on the Iberian Peninsula or in Northwest Africa by 600AD. I'm more of a Bavarian-Saxon-Frisian mix on my German side.
Also, nice job of the article singling out European Greeks for the use of "barbarian", when the word barbarāh (for "stutterer") was used in Sanskrit, as well.
