I would have to agree with you. The Oscars pretty much go for dramtic roles and movies, they are very closed minded. I think everyone and movie should be considered for oscars during voting, and not just have the focus on certain movies. Look at The Dark Knight, 2nd highest grossing film of all time, and while it did get 8 nominations, it was shut out for best director and screenplay. I'm not saying it should be up for best pciture, although it was one of the best movies of the year, but because its from the comic book/ action genre, probably was not even considered, as it goes for other movies as well.
