Finally a PC exclusive game worth paying for.

I hope they add in widescreen support and I'm set.

I don't know which computer game I'm going to devote my college years to, this or Diablo 3.

Definitely, this will have me hooked for a long time I'm sure, just like the original.

About the widescreen support: They did say that it can give an unfair advantage to some that have widescreen monitors, since more of the battlefield is displayed.. I mean really, this only matters in high level competitive play.

Regardless, I think they're going to allow widescreen support.. probably. We're most likely still in for a bit of a wait though.

It's 09, but that's definitely a placeholder date. I'm betting Summer of 2010.

Bwah?

Blizzard just announced that StarCraft II's single player campaign would be split o three separate products! The scope of the single-player experience was so huge they decided to deliver three different products. The first product will focus on the Terrans, with the Zerg next and finally the Protoss. The story will stretch across all three titles.
Wings of Liberty - Terrans
Heart of the Swarm - Zerg
Legacy of the Void - Protoss
Each campaign is treated as a full-fleshed out game, with each title ending the same way. The change will allow for more characters, more missions, and more complete experiences overall.
Kind of a double edged sword here. On one hand we'll now probably be owning Starcraft 2 before the decade is out, but on the other, it means paying more money for each individual game. I hope it'll be worth it. It's just a shame the Zerg are going to be released second. But what they really need to get right is the multiplayer. If that is solid from the first release, then I don't think many people will mind all too much.

Holy damn, I can't wait all over again. Even with the news of a trilogy.. (with as much as 2 years between each game.. ugh), and some aspects of B.net looking to be "monetized", this cinematic alone has me giddy as a schoolgirl.
