Someone referenced street fighter in the GI Joe thread. Thought it was a good time to also get opinion on this. At worst, itll likely be better than the first live action street fighter.

I could piss on a video camera while making kung fu noises, and it'd be a better martial arts flick than the first Street Fighter.

The problem with beat'em up tie ins in general is the fact that these tournament fighting games usually aren't really big on plot or story-telling, nor does their structure easily lend itself to any narration.

So this approach of basing it on a game's character rather than its plot might actually be a smart idea.

I didn't even know they were making one. Moon Bloodgood is in this? Well it is nice to see her working after journey man got the axe last year

Do we really need a reboot on the Street Fighter genre? SF with JCVD was a classic and should not be touched!

If you think the Street Fighter movie was bad, go watch the DOA movie. The only reason I was even able to tolerate it was because Sarah Carter was in it and she's crazy hot.

So out of the 6-some odd billion people on earth, somebody somewhere thought this movie was a good idea? I still find it incredibly hard to believe.
