As a bit of an aside to the contest, it was announced today by media sources in Columbia, SC that the house Phelps was at when he took this now infamous bong hit has been raided and several individuals arrested, some for possession, others for distribution. Apparently the guy who owned the bong was trying to sell it on eBay, but it's been confiscated as part of the investigation, which the city of Columbia and the governor of South Carolina have both essentially said is nothing but an attention-getting story for the Richland County Sheriff's Office (Columbia being a city in Richland County).
