Well Heroes returned tonight with its Fugitives storyline.
So far it was pretty meh.
Looks like Peter can only steal one ability at a time.

I had a free weekend and decided to have a 24 hour Heroes marathon starting from the beginning. I had never seen the show before. Season one was alright in an escapist entertainment sort of way, but I have no desire to continue beyond season two.

I think 'Clair' is doing her own makeup or is ordering the artist around. If you look in celebrity pictures you'll notice day to day she looks a lot worse with the clown makeup.

I'll take Ali Larter's character 9 out of 10 times compared to Claire. I'm calling Shenanigans on the writers for having the audacity to make us believe that some high school cheerleader can knock out a bodyguard with one kick (while also breaking the window), then can catch up to a moving plane, had the foresight and knowledge to climb up through the wheel well, manuever herself from there into the passenger hold and spring an entire group of highly dangerous prisoners without alerting any guards. Fuck that.

When I saw her escape and head toward the plane, I was hoping for a glorious send-off of her throwing herself into the propeller blades, killing her, crippling the plane, and saving the other heroes. Alas, it was not meant to be. On another note, if I have to listen to one more domestic squabble between Parkman and that one chick, I am going to throw my tv out the window.
But I will keep watching, for Sylar, and because I hate myself.
I find it amazing that the big emotional moment at the end is the fear that peter's gonna get sucked out of the plane... HE CAN FUCKING FLY!!

Can he? I don't remember him actually ever getting that power back. Another thing Skybase suggested is that he might only ever be able to have one power at a time now.

As I said in the 1st post he seems to only be able to steal one at a time. Thats why he looked surprised when he lost the strength and got the Ice ability.
Seems more Rogue-like. I guess they got tired of overpowering Peter.
Personally I'd be ok if they killed off every character except Sylar, Hiro and HRG.

It came in development when he injected himself with the formula at the end of Volume 3.
When he grabbed his brother, he gained his brother's ability to fly...BUT we all assumed that he either just had the power to fly, or got his old ability back.
It's a way to keep Peter as "more powerful" than a lot of the guys, but keeps him from becoming too powerful like before.

Man, last season must have been as bad as I thought it was because I didnt watch it that long ago and I don't remember dick from it.
Even still though, the time inbetween when he powerless whilst doing nursing you'd think he'd at least try and seek someone out with a power to help him.
The point about him being a stupid cunt still stands I guess.
You know, I actually quite like the direction this section is taking, It's not exactly TV gold but at least *somethings* actually happening rather than just aimless filler episodes.
Good to see theyre not scared to off a character this time round.
Also was impressed when Matt went off the handle, he was about due for something like that.

I tried guessing what someone would say/do by the end of a sentence/scene and I was 90% right everytime.
I think there needs to be an over/under on how many times clair 'trust me' or her father says 'family'

Yeah ok, I just watched last nights episode.
WTF is up with Peter grabbing Parkman and flying off? The second he touched him he should have got Parkmans ability and both of them should have gotten shot (going by how they explained Peters ability a few weeks ago. It was less confusing when he just had all the abilities)
And Parkman getting caught of guard so easily is stupid, he should know these people are coming, and be able to stop them
This show gets more stupid every week.
I'd imagine it has to be skin on skin contact, peter probably grabbed fat tub parkman through his coat

I think Peter has to activate his power, I don't see it as a automatic response to grabbing anyone.
Parkman should of been able to just focus and make all the guys sleep or run out of the room...I think his power has gone beyond to just reading minds.

This last episode was the worst received episode thus far in the ratings. It got beat out by repeats on other networks. If the show doesn't pick up soon, it's not going to be on the air for much longer.

I actually, some what, still enjoy the show. It feels like it is getting better. Slowly but surely.
Also, HRG should have shot the bald fuck.
Why bother helping Nathan. He will just be evil again in 2 weeks, then good again in about 4 weeks.
They really need some new heroes. And kill off some of the dross (claire would be a good place to start)

The writing here was top notch. No surprise, as this is the first one Bryan Fuller has written since being back. He was heavily involved with season 1's awesomeness.

I didn't discuss it because I got to watching it late last night.
Yeah, it was great. First episode in a long time that at every commercial break I was like "HOLY SHIT".
How fucking pathetic does this make the other writers look? Good god. One dude comes in and makes the show awesome again.
They should kill Claire, not the Ali Larter character. This episode was better due to the lack of Claire
And the second the bald dude and Noah started talking about how rebel was trying to free Tracy, I just knew Rebel would be the little black kid.
Since when can Ando shoot a red beam? I thought his power only worked when touching someone else with a power. And just to super charge another power.

And Ando didn't know he could shoot a red beam either. Hence why he was so happy/shocked. He finally can actually do some damage with his power. It was sweet.

Well Ando did kill Hiro in the future so Naturally he would learn to use it as a weapon.
I really don't think any of the scenes from the future have any relevance now, everything gets changed. All those futures got prevented, Daphne & Matt married, Sylar still thought Peter was his brother, everyone had powers.
So baby Parkman could half turn on Hiro's stolen ability, so its just a matter of time till they give Peter his back also?

The old writer from Season 1 is doing everything he can to stop the bleeding though. He literally took a 1 and a half seasons of complete shit-boat and started turning to the right as hard as he could.
If he has as much to do with the last few episodes as he did this last one...this boat could be back on the right track again.
It might end ok, but I wouldn't be shocked if this thing gets canned.

There is an easy solution to fix this show, killing off everyone on it and start anew. I know it's an unfair comparison, but Heroes has no character development anymore compared to Lost. After 2 crappy seasons, the season 1 finale was shit, does anyone care about what happens to these characters. Plus Sylar and Peter are just too powerful, and unless they are always in a deadlocked battle to the death I couldn't careless about them. In end, I'm sure NBC will keep the show around because they don't really have anything else. Maybe if they got Joss Whedon and his overrateness, they could make a nerd pie, that will equal ratings.

I thought it was Micah too, but then I remembered the Internet Girl back when the "Atomic Man" was still not blow'd up in season 1. She could dial up the internet anywhere or something. Very small charactor, couldn't remember if she died or not.
I've been trying to catch up (missed a few weeks) and here's a question. Why do Sylar's clothes change when he shapeshifts? Take the scene in Petrelli's office, blatently wearing a suit, shifts, and back to casual Sylar mode.
If he was like the illusion girl (and thus could just alter the appearance of his clothes) why would he need the DNA of the person he was mimicking. And if it's a true DNA-physical change (given the "extra tooth" and eye color things) how do his clothes shift?

Just better for the story. I think he shape shifts the whole person, including their dress. You notice...it's not like he changes into someone and wears completely different clothes. It's the clothes they have/had on.

Plenty of shows have shapeshifters have to deal with badly fitting clothes (not nudity, their old clothes would be there). My point is his power is clearly genetic and physical, which makes it completely nonsensical that his clothes change as they clearly do.
