Yeah, what.
I love me some Mass Effect. And while much of its universe borrows from Star Wars (well, KOTOR, duh), especially the Spectre caste, this question bugs me.
We all know that Jedi have the Force, use lightsabres, all that good shit. But Spectres can have biotic and tech powers, freezing people in place or hurling them towards gravitational singularities, and can use a shitload of big-ass guns.
So, in a one-on-one, who wins?

Having been extensively involved in both Star Wars and Mass Effect--I have read both of the books that came out with ME, along with beating the game numerous times--I can say that any seasoned Jedi would pwn a master biotic (which is really the more accurate question--remember that one can still be a Spectre without any biotic powers).
The main reason is longevity. When reading the second ME book, it's revealed that biotics, even with their new L4 implants, can't go pushing shit around and creating singularities on their very whim. They need quite a bit of time to charge and recharge, even after using a simple power, like push. Some of the more complicated powers can drain them for hours. Jedi, on the other hand, have the Force at their disposal. And yes, while Jedi can't go around using the Force forever, their connection to their power is rejuvenated much quicker than biotics, especially in life or death situations (think Ganner Rhysode, Jacen's fight with Onimi, or even Marek taking down Vader and the Emperor in the same day).
In short, I don't like to have sex with women.

I agree with you there; the ME Universe certainly has more pathos because it's set in our galaxy. I found myself very wrapped up in the story for that same reason.

I went with Jedi mostly because my Shepard had no biotech powers. Those were not only associtated with Spectres. Many different races and jobs used those. Jedi on the other hand were a step above other beings in abilities.
Also I prefer sex with women not little girls like some. According to the poll.

Not true. Jedi's aren't the only ones who can tap into The Force, they just trained it. I'm pretty sure in KOTOR they fell on a planet where a race were considerably more powerful than Jedis.

Maybe KOTOR 2? With the Miraluka? Visas' race? They're a species that sees through the Force. Not more powerful than the Jedi, just rely on the use of the Force more than most species. As a result, many Miraluka were Jedi.

Spectre is just the name of an elite alien spy force. No special powers are gained for being a Spectre. Unless you call getting a ship a special power.

I've been thinking about this (not for too long) and after Episode 3 I kind of lost some respect for the Jedi. All their powers for good and don't hurt people blah blah....it's a weakness, and it is there to be exploited.
I'd be thinking a Sith would be better in this battle as seemingly once #1, their only weakness is underestimating their #2!
