And wtf is up with this sober house shit and chances and going out clubbing and other stupid fucking bs??? I know people that would be out in a freakin heartbeat if they did half the shit these spoiled fuckers do and there would be no 'second chances' either. I lost any respect I ever had for Dr. Drew as a professional when Seth was on the roof of the recovery center smoking crack and didn't shit happen to him. Hell, they weren't going to do shit to Steve until he threatened the house mom..forgot her name. She was fucking smart and did what should have been done, only to have Dr. Drew push her to reconsider..wtf?? No wonder Seth relapsed again, he didn't think there would be any real consequences to his action.

I have family members that have been through rehabs and halfway houses and talking with two of them, they said there is no way in hell any real rehab would put up with it. My step-brother went 3months to a rehab and then six months to a sober living facility and they weren't allowed to go out like that shit at all. They went to fucking AA and NA meetings, and had to go to so many in a week, or even not enough meetings attended would get them kicked out. Even then the recidivism rate is high, but at least they have a fighting chance to get well.

And yah, I am totally a junkie myself. I am truly hooked on my vh1 shows, each and every one of them.

almost forgot, I LOVE Andy Dick! He and Rodney are two I am really rooting for. They seem like after their long respectivehistories they would be willing to do what it takes to stay sober. I feel for Amber and Mary, but in a way they piss me off too, because I can see so much of the codependent I used to be in the way they let men treat them, and want to just take them and shake some sense into them. Andy would be really good for Amber which is of course why she won't go for him; that would only change if he slapped her around some prolly.

Hey, did you see Letterman when Andy showed up wearing an ankle bracelet? I think he was plugging a show of his on or coming on or something, forget exactly which, but he showed the anklet and remember something like his show being called 'house arrest' or something, but it's not a house arrest anklet, it's the new kind that can detect if you have been drinking by what comes out of the pores of your skin, so I wonder if he is legally beholden to wear it?

I used to go to open AA meetings with my ex and they had all sorts of stuff like you had to go to 90 meetings in 90 days and get a sponsor and work the steps and all that. They have those steps in Al-anon too. I know that these things are supposed to be anonymous, but come on, they made a tv movie about Bill W. and your telling me they can't show any of the step stuff on tv? What on earth message does that send to people watching the show who want to stay clean and sober? I mean, if they all waived their anonymity to the point where their therapy sessions are televised, they should at least record meetings where they are the only ones in attendance, you know?
