I'm going for Taj to make it all the way. And yah, the 'coach' cracks me up. Reminds me of that one guy in another season that went bonkers because he was detoxing off a three pack a day habit.

"You my friend are the Dragon, a 'I' am the Dragon slayer"

Wtf is coach smoking out there? He is starting to lose his fucking mind. The story about the indigenous tribe capturing and beating him until his escape had me in stitches. Then just when you think his story couldn't get any more bullshit he pulls the eating his arsehole part out at tribal.

You know I even kind of liked that kid, but that was pure Survivor gold right there. What is up everybodies ass about Sierra? She doesn't bring alot to the table, but she certainly isn't annoying as everyone acts like. I'm not understanding the disdain that everyone has for her.

Getting him out was smart move, i can't believe coach is such a dick head that he never thought anyone would go against him. JT must be loving it, in the two tribals since the merge the two most physical players are out.

Right now JT would have to be a massive front runner for this game. He is popular in the game and with the existing jury. Tyson would have been the only real jury threat but i guess that's not happening now.

So Im sitting there and Jeff goes "Ill go tally the votes" and I just KNOW Coach is finally gonna get kicked out on his ass and then......The freaking local station interrupts with a Tornado Warning for like 60 miles away from where Im at. I mean they literally took over the channel just seconds before the vote tally started. Is it wrong of me to care more about who gets kicked off Survivor than saving people in mobile homes? (Probably but who cares). its not that Im a Survivor fanatic or anything but I would have strangled Coach in his sleep by now.

He's hilariously infuriating, I think when he gets voted out this seasons going to get a lot less watchable. If they do another "all stars" season eventually Coach is definitly going to be on the roster, but he'll also be voted out immediately. There is no way another group of 8 people would be able to buy into his shit, watching the first episodes before the merge where he was just controlling everyone in the tribe with his craziness was absolutely hilarious.

It is not for to understand, although I shall enlighten you that in order to be a success at high school soccer a man/coach must make sacrifices, the no wife, no lover thing is only the obvious what you didn't know is that during the season coach must also give up sex masturbation to maintain his stamina from the sidelines all season long.......

From memory:

That ball challenge was pretty cool, but odd they had like 8 balls on display because I couldn't see anyone getting more than 6 going with one arm.

How much of an arsehole was Stephen to JT at the jury vote, upon getting asked questions he pretty much just confirmed to them that he rode JT all the way and that he would have voted him out within a blink of an eye had he of had the chance. Glad to see he was only the second person in history that lost 7-0

Coach completely stole the finale though, he was the only one that talked about anything new while all the others just whined about either how they aren't like the show portrayed them or they haven't gotten any deals after leaving the show. His 'lady friend' saying she slays dragons in the bedroom was a fucking golden coach moment. He will 100% be back for the next All Stars. Having him, Hatch, Rupert, Big Tom and johnny fairplay would be an awesome season. Add Tyson in there also for extra value.

Overall not a bad season, although it was too obvious who would win as soon as Tyson was voted off, it would have been really interesting had JT and Tyson been final two as I'm pretty sure it would have been around a 4-3 vote.

I wrote some bullshit as well, basically said it seemed like the last hour was like the third act of I Love You Man or Superbad, complete with the two best friends reuniting and talking about the future with JT talking about working with Stephen later on.

JT really was one of the most likable players I've seen on the show, and I think he was really underrated in terms of intellect and strategy because of his physical prowess and southern drawl.

Somethings going to happen with Coach. If it's not All Stars its going to be some bullshit like going on The Amazing Race with his "lady friend", whatever it is, sign me the fuck up because that dude is comedy gold. It's insane to find out that he actually holds a world record, was a child prodigy on the trombone, and conducts his own legit symphony. And apparently almost got his dick eaten (http://www.tvguide.com/News/Survivor-Coach-Cannibalism-1006113.aspx), so says the "lie detector test".

He would be coaches ultimate dragon though, they both bullshit like there is no tomorrow and both truly believe the bullshit they say.

Ace would call Coach out on his stories which would make Coach furious meaning he would do everything to get him out creating an awesome dragon slayer plot.

and yeah Erik and Ian were two of my favorites, Erik excitement at every single thing survivor was golden. Those two teaming up would be hard to beat.

El Torpedo
05-18-2009, 08:21 PM
It was painful watching Erik in his last episode haha, that Joel guy was amazing when he was dragging around the gay dude but aside from that, he generally sucked. Yea he was huge but James would've dusted him in almost any confrontation/challenge I think. James was also one of the most likable people, I remember in the Fans vs Favorites challenge where they were holding there arms out for the longest amount with food coming out, when some chick dropped hers thinking she would get food but didn't ask for it and therefore didn't get it, "Oh mann, that would suck.... Ah BITCH!" as he drops his immediately after.

Haha, absolutely one of the best moments the show has produced.

I was reading that one of the other countries versions of the show has a feature called Island of the Dead, where the people voted out do challenges in order to get back into the game with one person making it back in at some point. There really hasn't been a big twist since Exile Island and I wonder whether they'll ever implement it, or whether it would work or not. It would have to be contestants eliminated prior to the merge and then put in right at the merge or it wouldn't be fair and I have no idea how they would work in people lasting from early eliminations vs the newly eliminated players. Could be kinda cool though, if they found a good way to use it.

Techtro

Yeah Sugar would get a start in my line up. The girls are a lot harder to remember so its harder to get a quality lineup.

Sugar (http://www.survivorfever.net/images17/cast/s17_jessica_l.jpg) - Survivor: Gabon (pin up model who loved exile island)

Denise Martin (http://www.bigbtv.com/Images/Survivor/s15/cast/Denise.jpg) - Survivor: China (fat lunch lady with a fucked up hair cut)

Mary Sartain (http://img2.timeinc.net/ew/dynamic/imgs/080102/mary_l.jpg) Survivor: Micronesia (was hot and got voted off too early)
Natalie Bolton (http://resources.survivorphoenix.com/graphics/albums/NatalieBolton/Natalie_Bolton_450.jpg) - Survivor: Micronesia (got Erik to give up his idol before voting him out, plus she was a bitch)

Stephenie LaGrossa (http://www.derok.net/derok/images/entertainment/survivor%20stephenie%20lagrossa.jpg) - Survivor: Palau (was with bobby jon in final two of tribe)
Wanda Shirk (http://www.buddytv.com/articles/survivor/images/wanda-shirk.jpg) Survivor: Palau (was voted off soon as getting off the boat after singing the whole way)

El Torpedo

Sierra? You must be high. Matty from Gabon would be money, too

I wanted Matty to win that season, Sugar fucked him over pretty badly but understandably. I feel like talking that girl into anything would not be hard at all, which is part of her charm. She looked amazing on that reunion.

The girls of this season I would choose to go to an All Star type show would be Debbie, Taj and Candace who I felt like got screwed by a weird tribe mentality, Coach was spewing the cancer spiel to get her off. How old is Debbie, does any one know? Great looking older lady. Sierra was just terrible, I didn't like anything about her.

Not sure if you saw that I edited the post with the video and just dont care, but if not, Island of the Dead?

Techtro
05-18-2009, 09:09 PM
Island of the dead would be a cool twist but would only be of value if the teams going into the merge were even. If this was the case then both teams would fight for that vote with a ton of bullshit

"They voted you out once don't let them them do it again"
"If you come back to our tribe we have the numbers and can pick them off"

If the teams weren't even then the newcomer would probably just be voted straight off similar to when you see tribe switches with uneven numbers.

Jericho
05-18-2009, 09:13 PM
They did something similar to that on I think it was Pearl Islands where "Outcasts" played the challenge against the two tribes and I remember that Big guy Burton and the scout leader lady making it back in

Techtro
05-18-2009, 09:28 PM
I forgot about that

"Lillian Morris and Burton Roberts were brought back into the game on Day 20. The tribes they were briefly in upon their return were the same tribes they were originally in."

Lillian actually was runner up that season, but from memory she lost votes because of the fact she was 'brought back' into the game opposed to playing it from the start which the producers I guess saw as a problem regardless of season so dropped the concept.

El Torpedo
05-18-2009, 09:31 PM
I guess every season's cast makes for a unique show and any twist thrown at them would play out differently depending on the people involved so really it could either be awesome or not interesting at all. I think every season really depends on the few wild card players you get that can really shine and take over, which was really what got me back into Survivor. I started this season bored and instead of working on essays or revising I chose to watch episode one of season whatever that popped up on a streaming site I go to ( no TV's on exchange in England, you see) and watching Coach unexplainably take control of his tribe was so entertaining i went back and watched the last few seasons, I feel like this has been one of the most entertaining, if not the most that I've seen, despite the overall predictability come the final 6.

Techtro
05-18-2009, 09:44 PM
I rate Pearl Islands my personal favorite, the pirate themed challenges mixed with Rupert's pirate type personality and Johnny Fairplay's dead grandma lie is what the show is all about.

Instead of exile that had "Captured' resulting in a tribe kidnapping one person to come to their tribe for good.

Also having the final immunity challenge as a trivia competition with the Jury allowed to compete as a team to void anyone getting immunity was cool.
