I'm no socialist. I dig commerce and the pursuit of monetary compensation for the "hard work" put in to run the site during these horrendous economic times...but not at the cost of humor. The site is now populated with an exorbitant amount of brain dead vagabonds with a grade school comedy degree and invisible vaginas that burst like the river styx when you make fun of their rather Sling Bade like intellect. That, my friends of friends, is a damn shame. We tear people down in order to build them back up to be kings of kings amongst their peers. What happens when you completely do away with the tearing down part and replace it with a warm embrace followed by a freshly unwrapped lollipop that says "Welcome, Young Nubile One"? You get a generation of pussies that have dicks. Basically, you get an entire nation of present day Danes.

I'm the first guy to get pissed off when idiot noobs get a free pass *coughLynncough*; however, a selection process through hazing would imply that the people who're supposed to be subjected to it would actually want to participate.

I haven't come across an intro worth hazing in months. Vox's vitriol or Tarheel's artistry would be wasted on those mouth-breathers. Honestly, when 90% of introductions go "yo cool site wuz up" or some variation thereof, then any screening process - short of outright banning - is destined to fail. Screening/hazing might have had sense 2 years ago, when people cried because they wanted to join but some big bad veteran was being mean to them, but that particular pooch has been screwed seven ways from Sunday, and I don't see any purpose to trying to pass the blame at this point. For a retard too fucking dumb to recognise when he's been insulted, and who only wants to get his 100 posts so he can go fapping, because he's to daft to find porn elsewhere on the internet, people are supposed to get creative? Please.

Also, Kopek, I haven't seen you post worth shit before this Arpy stuff began. If you're one of the last relics of the awesome days, wouldn't it be your responsibility to raise the very standards whose downfall you're so verbosely lamenting? Last I checked, Rick Barry bitching about how kids today lack fundamentals didn't lead to a revolution in the NBA, either.

maybe plan ahead - instead of just taking award suggestions and subsequent nominations, why not have some committee to select the awards and nominees. we need some intelligent oversight.

i.e. what the fuck was the biggest douchebag arpy? or w8, was it biggest asshole? bc im thinking the nominees were all douchebag and no asshole. not to talk too much shit, but this is my point - there was far too little attention paid and energy spent on the selection/nomination process.
