I just got around to purchasing a PS2 (used of course) and I couldn't be more excited. Why, you ask? Because I can finally play Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy X-2, and Final Fantasy XII--three games I've always wanted to play but couldn't, what with the lacking of a PS2 and all. I got them all in the used bin at Game Stop, but I decided to leave Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dirge_of_Cerberus:_Final_Fantasy_VII) on the shelf because it looked like it sucked. What are your thoughts on Dirge of Cerberus? Being that I did love Final Fantasy VII (and I played through it again recently), I should enjoy it, no?

I'd so no to Dirge. I didn't like the interface/gameplay enough to even get interested in the storyline.

X was fun for a while, didn't like the leveling system or blitz ball. Skipped X-2.

Don't start XII unless you are ready to forgo any prior commitments you might have. It ranks up there with VII in my mind.

Dirge was ok. Its not at all a hard game, but its cheap fun with a FF7 twist. Its worth buying at 15bucks just to play through the story, which takes place later in the FF7 Universe than any other game.

In short: Easy fun game. You wont bother playing again after you beat it, but youll get your worth in cheap fun and interesting story (If you are into the whole FF7,crisis Core, Advent Children saga).

Oh do I wish I still had time to play VG on a regular basis.

Dirge is worth the current price a bit awkward in gameplay and the mission objectives can be confusing at times. X is fun and a great story but blitz ball is boring skipped X-2.
