Ok, so, today in the break room at work I noticed a posting on the board that there was a Supervisor position opening up in Saipan. It's a pretty damn good distance away and the only thing I know about Saipan is what happened in the second great war.
So, should I continue to press the transfer?

I was thinking the same thing. From what I just read there's only like 50k people on the island. Christ, my hometown has 55k

A friend of mine took a job in Saudi Arabia, it was well paid but he had to live in Saudi Arabia (duh). Looking back on things now he still insists he wouldnt have chosen differently but I know that deep down he fucking hated every minute of it. They've offered him other foreign appointments and he's turned them all down.
If you feel like earning some good money then by all means go for it. If your quite satisfied by your current set up though i'd forget about it.
(after a bottle of smirnoff that was quite an effort to type)

If your under 30 with no kids go for it, if your over 30 and have kids, I would recommend against it.
