Big interview today, I'm just finishing off my presentation; soon to catch the Tube and endure a 6-hour interview day.
The big question on all your minds will surely be: will he? Ohhh I sure hope he does.
Anyway, what's your view?

Wear a power tie and then casually mention how upset being disappointed makes you, how really upset it makes you, so upset that sometimes you sort of lose control for a while. That you were taking medication for it, but you stopped recently because of the headaches and that you feel much better and hopefully don't receive any disappointing news that might cause you to lose control. Then happen to mention your love of collecting historical military assault rifles and authentic Japanese cutlery, oh and by the way do I get the job?

Mother fucker, that was a fucking stressful day. Thank god the friends I'm staying with cooked an awesome meal with a lot of good alcohol.
Three of us selected for interview out of a few hundred applicants did nothing to help, especially as the group exercise in the morning was nothing more than trying to make your fellow applicants look stupid whilst smiling and being a team worker...
Then, a three-hour interview asking the most awkward, technical and theoretical questions I've ever faced. Fucking fuck. I have no idea how it went, especially as they wont be telling us until the end of next week.
I'm sure no one cares, but it's got it off my chest again!

Honestly, I've never been in a spit roast but the three on the interview panel, two of whom have been published widely, certainly gave me the feeling I was being fucked in every orifice.

Sometimes when you think it's not gone that great you get the job. Just because you were stressed and the questions were tough doesnt mean they werent satisfied with your answers. The interview I had for the job im in now was fucking horrendous but apparently I did all the right things.
Once I went for an interview where I thought I flew through it and they actually called me up afterwards and gave me a list of things they didnt like.
Life is fucking weird.

Perhaps, but this is a pretty specialist job and there were times I felt I'd been caught out on a weakness; but I'm not going to worry too much until I hear. What's done is done, but it's been so long since I've been in an interview I forgot how tough they can be.

The other two were older, better published and well known to the panel. But, that's not an excuse just a motivation to get some more stuff published of my own.
They didn't say who got it, but I'll soon know as their old job will be advertised on one of the subject websites.
