True...but she showed the exact same signs as a T-1000. Melting down into an inanimate object, then using her appendage as a blade. I mean, they didn't have her say and act just like Robert Patrick there at the end just because...

Does it make me that old to know who Shirley Manson is?
No, no it doesn't. She's acting as bad as she was singing, though. This season isn't starting THAT bad, I have to say. This was one of the surprise "OMG this is actually pretty good" show of last season for me and I'm expecting a lot from it this year. Before watching the new ep, I rewatched last season finale 2 scenes, which impressed me when I first saw them, the Johnny Cash/swimming pool scene is still as awesome as ever (even though I still don't understand why he lets the cop get away with it, he's a fucking terminator for god sake, let alone the fact that he didn't kill him on the first place, but to actually make them meet again and him being all philosophical AGAIN is pure nonsense for me. THAT DOES SUCK!). Other than that, I hope that the kid will be the bad mofo that he needs to be from now on, whinny john was a tad annoying. And Summer is still as sexy as they come.

You've watched to many movies. Maybe if you hit a circuit board it might, but I doubt these death machines are so dumb as to have there outer shell grounded to any. And these are bots from the future, I'm not going to take my chances that circuits are still vulnerable to high voltage by going hand to hand with only a tazer against a death machine.

I really disliked how the robot forgot she was a robot and acted like a human all episode. It was really fucking weak. If the robots had the capability of even mimicing emotion, stress, and happiness, wouldn't they all? I mean... they spent the whole series up til now trying to get her to not act so much like a robot, and then a malfunction makes it think and act like it's a human? Not only that. Every time they show her viewpoint of anything in the show, up til now, there is all this digital display and info like a camera. They spent the entire series trying to show how it is a robot and then shit all over the plotline by makeing the robot have emotions and anterior grade amnesia.
It's almost like they felt sorry for typecasting that chick as a robot and wanted to give her an episode to show that she can act like a person too.

Fox Close To Terminating 'Sarah Connor' (http://www.syfyportal.com/news425418.html)
With ratings far below even the network's worst predictions, Fox could pull the plug on production for "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" as early as this week.
The network has been disappointed by "Sarah Connor's" numbers so far this season, and some executives feel that the show is dragging down numbers for "Prison Break," which airs as a lead-out.
"Audiences just aren't responding to the show," a Fox source tells SyFy Portal. "Our biggest surprise are the 18-to-49s [a key advertising demographic], those numbers are in the toilet."
...........
So what will happen?
"All I can say is that production will likely stop, and I would think that Fox might try to air some of the episodes already in the can," the source said. "But I don't know. They don't want to lose 'Prison Break,' so there could be some schedule shuffling in the future."
Of course, none of this has been confirmed by Fox, so treat this as rumor.

Really gay.I actually like the concept of a machine forgetting that it's a machine...Her whole character is just another take on the Frankenstein gimmick anyway, so it makes sense that at some point she'd face an emotional conflict even though she is just nuts & bolts underneath it all.
And it also makes sense that her model would be capable of having this sort of malfunction. Think about it - she was an infiltrator designed to duplicate every aspect of Alison Young that the human resistance managed to capture and modify. Who's to say the modifications were done correctly or that they didn't manage to foul up the conversion?
There's a lot to this show and I hope it doesn't get canned. I've never seen so much as one episode of "Prison Break" and could give two poops about it.

I hope they try and show his leadership qualities in this series because i'm tired of seeing John Connor as a depressed teen who's only thought in life seems to be "i didnt ask to be the saviour of man kind".
Since we know that fate governs the Terminator universe and no matter what you do to the timeline things always work out the same way i dont know why they are even bothering to try and take skynet down before its invented.
What they should be doing is what they hinted at in T2 which is stockpiling weapons and supplies out in the desert in preparation for the future war.

that would make the most sense but there is really not that many guns that could stop a terminator. What I want to know is where humans in the future get their laser guns. Yeah they could steal them from dead terminators and copy them but its not like they have a lot of the materials and manufactoring shops to build them.

Seeing as those laser rifles are often referred to as being made by Westinghouse I assume they were made for the army sometime in the future.
Of course that was probably the thought when the first film was written in the 80's. Now that greedy producers have managed to stretch the timeline way beyond the old Judgement Day and yet keep our same level of development the weapons of the future war are going to have to be developed virtually over night!
I saw a pic of Bale as John Connor in the new film. He was carrying an M-16 if i'm not mistaken. Which would be largely useless against a T-800.

Cutting his hair is nice and all, but he will never start becoming a leader until his mommy stops cleaning up after him. Once Sarah starts letting go alittle bit this show will become more interesting. But since it is called the Sarah Conner Chronicles, I believe she will continue to be a bit overprotective for awhile.

As far as pure comprehension and ability to express themselves is concerned, I'd say around 50%. All of Scandinavia, the BeNeLux countries, and most of Germany. Less in Italy and Spain, and very few Frenchmen.
But look at the fact that we have a Croat, a couple of Germans, a Dutchman, a Slovenian, a Spaniard, a Portuguese and a Frenchman on these very boards who all speak passable English (the French bloke is borderline, though), and it should tell you something.

The trouble with this show is it feels like it's constantly building towards something awesome. I know thats an odd thing to say but hear me out.
We all know the apex of the Terminator timeline is the war against the machines. This show is about the period before that war, therefore it's sort of irrelevant. We're all waiting to see the epic war of the machines, I for one feel like i've seen enough time travelling robots killing people in the modern time to last me a life time. As a Terminator fan I alsmost feel as if i've outgrown this show.
I didnt want the third film, or this new trilogy of future war films. I was quite happy to let this story end with Terminator 2. Now however I feel a bit more open to new possibilites in the Terminator franchise. Just as long as they dont involve more time travelling assasinations.

Considering how bad this show could have been, I think they are doing quite a good job keeping it interesting, answering questions, and moving the plot along. Most of all, not making it some super dramatic soap opera has been a stroke of genius. However, i disagree with you at least about the future films. Making them I think makes perfect sense. The series wouldn't really have any resolution until the end of the future war, so I think it would make sense to make a movie about it. And with Bale on board, we are *almost* guaranteed a good movie.
And, the show is building toward something awesome. Judgement Day. Saddly we won't see that on this program, but it is awesome.

But her letting that guy live is very much part of the character. From the movies and now, she obviously doesn't want innocents to die. So I think it works. She knew it would be a risk obviously, but did she have any clue that Cromartie was that close to them? Not so much.

That's the point with Cameron, we don't really know what's going on with her. She is...evolving, as weird as it is to say about a machine. When she said to Derek that she won't allowed anything to happen to John, it was almost passionate, human.
And as Pax mentionned, we constantly have this feeling that it's building up to something absolutely awesome. The writers really do a great job on this show, it seems that every little detail is carefully planed to add something important to the puzzle, and more the story goes, more the details become primary.
I like particulary where they have taken Ellison, though I wonder what will become of him from now on. That was really a turning point for him in this ep. He paid his debt, but he has absolutely nothing left: no job, no family and most importantly, no more goals. It will be interesting to see which path he will choose in the future.
Also, RIP Cromartie, he was a great Terminator.

Just a little thing in the episode thats been buzzing around my brain: When Cameron went to see John she took her overshirt off before entering his room. Was this a psychological play to manipulate a young mans love of the female form? or was it as Fuld suggested something more passionate? Was she trying to get him to notice her that way?

I was thinking about that as well. It also got me thinking about that future/flashback thing with Jesse on the submarine where they go to pick up the T1000. Before Jesse sinks the sub, the T1000 tells her to tell John that the answer is no and you find out later from Cameron that the question was whether the T1000 wanted to join the resistance. Maybe it decided on it's own method of stopping Judgement Day and that it came back and took over the role of Weaver.

The death of Derek was out there though, I really, really didn't see it coming and certainly not that way. Being the bad ass mofo that he was, I'll have thought that when the time come it would have been in a blaze of furious shooting with plenty of corpse lying around, but there, gosh, it was cold as a terminator. But then again, it simply reflect the mood of the show, nothing more, nothing less.
It worries me though, what with Charley last ep and now Derek (and the bad rating), I have the unpleasant feeling that the season finale might be the finale full stop. I hope I'm wrong because I really love this show.

So, a huge game changing situation, the confirmation that Weaver was part of the resistance, the confirmation that John-Henry was a terminator "version" of John Connors, a future were the resistance exist without John Connors (up until now at least).
Even more questions than ever. The biggest one being, will we have a 3rd season? I can't stress enough how much I want it, but the chances of that are slim, aren't they?

In the show time travel is not set in stone. The writers straight said that the events in T3 happened in an alternate time line. As soon as Cameron came back she changed the future. Also they said in the show that the Jessie that came back was also from a different future than Derek.
Plus, for all we know the John Connor that went to the future may just well be the same that leads the resistance. We don't know exactly what time in the future he arrived.
Also in a bunch of episodes people keep on referring to the female Terminator John chooses to keep around him. They never show them together in the future. So far we've been led to believe that it's Cameron, but it may well be Weaver. We really don't know...
No I meant I was wondering if she did it on purpose so he couldnt lead the resistence thus dooming them.
If that was the case, she would have just killed him as soon as they arrived in the future (since there was absolutely no one around them, and John was completely defenseless, butt naked to be exact.

Fucking time travel. They better keep this up for another season.

Yeah good call. There are too many damn
variables to this story.

I think the double guessing is over for now. Weaver T1000 seems to be on the humans side and I reckon that the John Connor sent to the future is the John Connor that leads the resistance (that would be how he survives judgement day). That said though how the hell does a T1000 decide to be "good"? Think this was a Jonny 5 moment and she got hit by lightning or something?

Shit. I'll be pissed if this show gets canned. It really got good this season.

No fucking shit.
Seriously...I think Fox would be fucking stupid to cancel it. Viewership tends to drop off when they fucking put it on FRIDAY FUCKING NIGHT.
The movie is going to generate buzz. This was one of the best written/acted shows this season.
Hell, if they were smart (and Salvation does well), they should fucking try everything they can to PROMOTE the show. Not cancel it.
Then again...it's Fox. They are notorious for cancelling shit.

We should start a GMF petition, I'm sure that that will make them change their minds asap.

My buddy who works for DirecTV said they are already getting a ton of out-of-US mail trying to have them produce the show if it gets canned.
They did/are doing the same thing with Friday Night Lights, and that show is doing pretty well. But DirecTV is actually producing it.

For canceling good shit to. Seems that if ratings are not AI good, they consider canceling everything.

Terminator, Chuck and The Unit are all under the gun.
Sad face.

I think, honestly...out of all of those, Chuck is the most safe (thank god...i love that show).
NBC's linup is so shitty that the ratings that would have been "cancel-worthy" before are "meh...not too shabby" now.
It doesn't help Chuck that it is in a insanely hard timeslot, has no lead-in, and the whole Heroes thing has gone into the shitter.

Scoop: Fox set to terminate 'Sarah Connor Chronicles' (http://ausiellofiles.ew.com/2009/04/scoop-fox-set-t.html)
Resist the urge to nuke the messenger, but multiple sources are telling me that Fox will not be renewing Terminator: The Summer Glau Sarah Connor Chronicles for a third season. "It's done," maintains a source close to the show. "Everyone has pretty much known for a couple of weeks." Adds a network insider: "Consider it canceled."
The one bright spot? Despite horrific ratings, Fox isn't ready to declare SCC dead and buried -- at least not officially. "No decision has been made yet," insists a network rep. "We will be announcing our fall schedule on May 18."
Rough translation: It won't be back.
Oh, I just thought of one other bright spot: At least the show went out on top creatively. Last Friday's finale was an action-packed, closure-filled triumph. The only thing left unresolved is what Summer Glau will do for an encore. I'm thinking 24 should hire her as next season's Big Bad

I love Fox. Get a great show, totally mismanage it, then blame everybody but themselves for its low ratings, cancel it.

I think this is a tired franchise(new movie included).
I mean, with something like Star Trek or James Bond, you can always keep it fresh with timely topics and such. This is just:
1. Machines Rise Up
2. Humans eventually beat Machines.

wonder how much better the show could have done on a cable network.
