So as not to undervalue virtue, this one is about sin's counterpart. Frankly, I wanted to put the Beatitudes here, but it's a tad rough translating them into direct virtues.

Similar question, of which of these virtues would you cross out for another. Don't forget to explain yourself.

Love - Of the selfless variety, though I can't disregard the Romantic notion as a function of this virtue.

Hope - The movement of appetite to a future god; a positivist view on outcome.

Faith - In religion it usually pertains to belief in God, but faith also pertains to a general loyalty and trust. Yes, even the non-religious have it.

Prudence - The exercise of practical judgment; ethical soundness.

Temperance - Self-control, abstinence, and moderation.

Fortitude - Endurance against formidable odds.

Justice - "Solomon's wisdom," justice is active fairness in relations, giving to each what is due to them.

I think Temperance maybe could go, it's sort of the anti-Greed option from the other thread.

Perhaps something which could replace it is something like "Wonder" or something opposite to the "Ignorance" sin I suggested in the other thread. A desire to better one's self or learn might fit the bill...

Justice....the reason why a lot of us are going to hell.

Maybe shift that into forgiveness and save a few hundred on the suntan lotion.

Hope can drive people to insanity.

Temperance can lead to becoming power hungry to maintain control and keeps others in check/in line.

I would use Compassion since its about thinking about others before yourself.

Keep in mind that the bottom four are all talking about specific ranges where a characteristic becomes virtuous, same goes with the sins. Traditionally, the 3 theological virtues are said to have no point of excess, but I think anyone could argue against that if they wanted.

I would use Compassion since its about thinking about others before yourself.
Compassion is already up there. It's the first option.

Love has caused more problems in the world than anything else. I know this seems wrong on so many levels, but think about it, people do irrational things when loves involved.

Not TRUE love. True love is not attraction, or chemistry, or doing something because it is in 'their best interests'. True love is completely selfless.

I picked Temperence because whenever someone tries to limit themself or discipline themself, it never fails that they want to judge others by their own standards, and then will oftentimes find them wanting.

Knowing the GMF Forum posters...I am surprised it is not 100% faith, minus Arch and Tockit (for completely different reasons, of course)

Why? Faith is essential to any relationship, be it a friend, a family member, or your dentist.
