We rented a nice pad in central Maine and did some Pike/Bass fishin. There are some monsters in that lake so the ones we caught are minnows. You can get 7-8 lb bass and 15 pound Northern Pike.

Decided I'm gonna start doing self portraits every morning (or at least every day) as part of a ritual. Got the idea from Android Jones and his 1000 self portraits, should be an interesting exercise. I'd like to branch off into other "daily" areas, maybe do the same page of a comic script every day for a month or something like that, but I have my personal reasons for doing this now. Gonna do it for at least til the end of the school year, and see where I'm at.

The second one is the actual start of this, the first I just did as a warm up for something else a few weeks back.

For the sake of clarification, this is a photo with a bit of compositing to get the leg in there. I also made liberal use of Photoshop to pump up the colors and some burning/dodging. The techniques I used are no different than what I did in my earlier "egg" assignment I posted.

It depends. Is this photographer starting out? a student? If so, they should be grateful for the sale and not bitch about their location - they would probably be viewed more in a bathroom than on the wall of a bedroom; let's face it you need to read/look at something when taking a dump and I'm now fully aware of the chemical constituents of my air freshner and toothpaste.

If you're buying them as an investment the humidity of the bathroom is not a good place.

It looks like Lo Pan and a fish made a kid, but I can see where you're going with it. Try making the eyes more hollow, because the red bring it out too much and makes it seem beady... like an incest monster child. Plus he looks kinda Asian. Add some vertical lines from the bottom of the cheek down the sides to make it more realistic. The mouth looks like a torn curtain, I think if you changed it up to resemble slime being pulled apart, you'll have yourself something freakish. Oh and the forehead... try bringing the browbone out, give the forehead some horizontal wrinkles because the vertical thing and the hair makes it look like a baby pumpkin with a landing strip on top.

This is a good start and it's got potential. Jane Doe has some good points about his forehead and cheeks. Add some detail to those areas and they will look more realistic. I think you could shade under and over his eyes a little more. I like his moustache and how it sticks out of his snot funnel. I like how you have his upper lip puckered, but you could make it more prominant. Make his lips a little bigger and over exaggerate that scowl. JD's strings of slime between his lips would be a nice touch.

I dig it. The only things that are making the face not as believable are the eyes, the brows, the hairline. The eyes should be more hollow and not so narrow because he looks like a mutant snake there. If he's gunna have facial hair that dark, he's gunna have darker and thicker brows. The widow's peak is too low. The forehead should be about 1/3 of the face, but if you cut off half of the peak, you should be good. Everything else looks great. A little bit of stubble on the neck would be a nice touch.
