So I'm drunk, but I'm going to try to spit this out anyway. Who still listens to the radio...B104, Satellite, whatever? I believe I have come up with the standard radio playlist, just by listening to the radio 3 consecutive days in the shower....
1. An American Idol song. Anything from Kelly Clarkson to David Archulletta. This has to be on the playlist.
2. Some shitty rap song. This isn't your standard rap song by Mos Def or Talib Kwali. This is some sampled piece of shit like Flo Rida's take on "You Spin Me Right Round" or T.I. and Rhianna doing Mi La Hi.
3. Some shitty rock song. For the most part, this will be Nickleback. Occasionally we shall sub in that new All American Rejects song or Creed or anything else along these lines.
4. A shitty poppy song. Mostly these days this will be a Pink song or even more popular right now, Lady Gaga.
5. A random #1 hit from years ago. This could be anything from R.E.M. to Pearl Jam to Simple Plan. Any song that the general public wanted to listen to several years ago.
6. This song comes at the 12 to 13 interval. A pop-country song. For the most part, this will be Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, or Rascall Flatts. It could be others, but for the most part, this is it.
Now just cycle throught his and you have yourself a hit radio station. I rarely listen to the radio besides the times my iPod dies or when I take a shower, but this is a fool proof plan to have your station take off.

I RARELY listen to the radio. If I do, I have it set on 105.1 Charlie FM, the station that plays "everything". 9 times out of 10 I'm listening to cd's, but when I need my 80's one hit wonder fix Charlie is it.

I listen to news radio in the morning at home, most times just keep that on for the drive to work, or when I know a news story is developing, but normally when ever I'm out after work or the weekends I got my Zune playing.

here here. I listen to the jazz station sometimes if I'm in the mood, which is rare. Other than that, the radio sucks. The radio especially sucks around DC

There needs to be a "I Listen To Talk/Sports Radio Only" option here. Like at work we do as follows...
1. ESPN RADIO - Mike & Mike
2. iPod For Few Hours
3. ESPN Radio - Jim Rome Show
Any other time when I am driving or at the house I listen to the iPod.

I am a sports radio junkie. I listen to WFAN in NY (the genre's founding station) on terrestrial radio, ESPN, FoxSports & Mad Dog Radio on XM-Sirius and WEEI (Boston sports) over the internet. I also listen to all of the Bill Simmons podcasts on the computer.

I wouldn't be caught dead listening to FM Radio beyond a couple of College stations. If being pretentious is the cost of avoiding nickelback at all costs, then please pass the cloves.

JJ does speak the truth. Whoever you are, whatever you like, you can find stuff you love on XM-Sirius. The range of offerings is wonderful.
Plus, you never have to worry about driving out of range of a station you like. Anywhere I drive, I get the same 200 stations.
It's like the difference between cable TV and rabbit ears. Once you taste it, there's no going back.

I listen to WJR talk radio every morning and then if my signal is decent I'll listen to ESPN out of Chicago most of the other times.
I have an iPod, which I play in the car a lot, I also make CDs still and do listen to radio, but only WGN, ESPN Radio Chicago, US99 (country station) and WIIL which is the only decent rock station in the area, which is out of some podunk town in southern Wisconsin (Pleasent Prairie) and doesn't come close to Chicago receptionwise, but it is great for the Northern suburbs.

102.1, 99.9, 104.5, 93.5, 103.5 or my ipod. I lost the inside piece for my changer and I am not going to go to sat radio if they might be going under.

Dean Blundell gives me some laughs in the morning. I personally have no problem with the radio, for the most part they play good songs and if they aren't then someone else is, if not then my iPod will.

103.1 is really the only station I can listen to. I don't mind talk radio but Ed Norris wants to make me stab jagged cocks in my ear. I usually listen to my i-pod unless it's like super low on charge.
Satelite Radio is the best
all other radio is gayer than claydon blowing AJ

See I drove my dad's car last month and he has sat radio and maybe I just don't know how to operate but it seems fuzzy and cracky in reception and I couldn't just "surf" the channels.
you have to change the fm frequency on it sometimes in large cities , if the city has a station close to or on the same one as the one you are trying to use for your signal
and the sirius is broken up into whatever you want to listen to on the menu.......if you cant find anything, just listen to 99

Only Radio I listen to is usually Baseball or Football related. But I'll listen to JACK on the weekend. I have a love of 80s music.

Only in the car on my way to work. It's a 10 minute drive so I don't take the time to plug in my iPod. The campus radio station is pretty good most of the time though, so it's not a big deal.

We have Jack FM in Chicago too. Their billboards when they first debuted for about 3 days said "Don't turn the Jack off". Then people complained.
