From all I've read, a lot more of this is going to staged than Borat was. For the simple reason that people in the US know who he is now. He's gotten recognized when filming a lot of times, including at a Prop 8 rally in California.

-Walking around a hasidic town in Israel dressed in almost no clothing and being chased by an angry mob (surprised he's still alive)
-Directly insulting the head of the Al Aqsa martyr brigade (once again, I'm surprised he's still alive)
-The hunting trip: "look at all the stars in the sky, it makes you think of all the hot guys in the world". Also, "can I come into your tent? A bear ate all of my clothes except for these condoms".
-The swingers party: staring the guy in the eyes for "concentration" and then him falling out of the window.
-The cage fight/make out session. Best ending in cinematic history.

Just saw the movie. It's definitely my favorite Sacha Baron Cohen film and I liked the fact that it was under 90 minutes long.

Don't get me wrong. I liked some of it. But I hardly see Baron Cohen as some "groundbreaking genius". He's doing the same shit Tom Green got ripped for years ago. Most of this film, if not all of it was staged and done in multiple takes. Also, just not as funny as Borat. Gay jokes are great to a point, but so much of this was just over the top. 2 stars.

If you read the article I posted on the last page, it explains how some of the scenes were done. And the cage scene was not something that the audience was aware of. That shit was 100% real, just like almost every other sequence that involved interacting with real people (the hunting, ron paul, the terrorist, israel, the hummus scene, etc.).
