For some reason 3D is making a resurgence in movie theaters. I think it's fucking stupid and it's a weak attempt at an attention grabber.

WHAT SAY YOU?!?!?!

I heard some radio commercials for new 3D screens in our cinemas just today in fact.
I can't see 3D anyway, so makes no difference to me, but I can appreciate how it's a new direction for the technology to go so what the hell...

Jaws 3d was the best fucking 3d movie ever made. I would swim for hours in the ocean calling Cindy and Sandy when I was a kid.

Also there is a tv where each pixel has a 9 way lens on it. 3D is cool, but I ain't wearing glasses.

I'd like to see some good 3D technology. . .it's got to happen. As it is, however, even with what we're predominantly seeing they all require glasses. I know they've made some monitors with angled screens that allow viewing w/o glasses however the viewing angle is pretty limited.

It's not just limited to movie releases either. We're starting to see a lot of HD televisions coming out as "3D ready" It's a big push right now in the video industry as a whole. Thing is, they seem to be (home theater) leaning towards stereoscopic tech, such as I've got from NVidia...using flickering 3D glasses. At least with the higher Hz rating they're not quite as bad on your eyes.

I would love to see 3D succeed, but a more passive method of producing it.

I've never watched anything in 3D other than my life, and that shit gets pretty boring.

I'd rather they work on VR. That way we'd not only see it in 3D it be like we are really there.
