where's the neither option?
This is not an either or, it's a fight against Apple.

If they make a new iPone this summer, I will buy it.

last I heard it's gonna drop in fall.

Also, I hate their comps, but the iPhone owns hard. Especially if you hack it.

I'll be buying the next gen phone that has the android OS on it.

Talk about shit owning hard, it's open source all the way through, and it's based on linux.

Also, fuck apple.

I'm looking for a "you're mother does double anal" option... it must have just been left off by accident.

Its ok, mistakes happen.

Blackberry Curve with Enterprise support.
I can work from anywhere with complete Outlook interface.
Indispensable for work, and allows me to 'work' from the side of ski mountains or pool side in Cabo.
The iPhone is pretty damn sexy though. If I had two phones, the second one would be an iPhone for sure - not a Storm.

I still havent found an iPhone app that completely interfaces with outlook. There are a few apps out there that interface with bits and pieces (i.e. one for contacts and one for tasks) but nothing that basically syncs my entire outlook in one shot. Someone needs to get on that because that's the only thing holding me back from buying one of these motherfuckers.

if you need that much outlook access throughout the entire day, you might be married to your job. or on the boss' leash.

fuck apple. fuck the iphone. fuck the sheeple firmly attached to either/or of their respective nutsacks.

the iphone
my main beef with the iphone is apple. they've restricted the iphone from accessing about 45% of the new, usable web (flash-based websites, applications, media) because it would enable users to consume music, television, movies, clips that they'd otherwise purchase from itunes. and while it's possible to access youtube from an iphone, it's only because youtube went the extra mile and created a special app just for the iphone. faggotry.

i think the device itself is pretty solid, but i've not always been fond of touchscreens mainly because they're quick to get smudges, dirt, grime, etc. built up on them.

the interface is fucking ridiculous. it's not intuitive. easy does not mean intuitive. it assumes you're a fucking moron. like most of apple's products the designers apparently just think you're fucking stupid.

the app store is great... while it lasts. developers won't keep developing unless they get paid for their products, which is an issue right now. apple is late with payments, late reviewing products, and awful with customer service.

all in all, it's an apple product. it does a few things interesting, and it does them well. it's trendy at the moment, and most people will not actually be able to tell you why, but they'll defend it like it gave birth to them. most people end up buying the iphone so they can say they have one, and like other apple products, that's what it's designed for.

the blackberry
my only gripe with blackberry is the provider. verizon places far too many restrictions on these devices. gps, wi-fi connectivity, skype, etc. have all been standard abilities on the blackberry for a long time, but verizon just chokes the shit out of it. but they're also cheaper than at&t (iphone provider), and verizon is the only company that chokes the life out of the hardware.

as far as hardware goes, any blackberry is pretty robust. i dislike the flip and non-keyboard versions: they're like blackberries for wannabes. my 8830 has been dropped, kicked, thrown, and whipped from the top of a vehicle on the interstate. nary a scratch on it.

i can sync my outlook/google calendars, contacts, documents, and media items automatically, at any time, and without some crazy ass extra software. it's been doing this shit better and for longer.

interface-wise, it's intuitive. it doesn't treat me like i'm a fucking moron. it's simple, never breaks, never crashes, and it can do anything that iphone can.

i renew in a few months, and i will, undoubtedly, be renewing with a blackberry. no question. either the storm or the 9630.

Treo

Same here. I have the Treo 700wx which has the increased memory etc. Even while working at Alltel (their version sucked) I couldn't find a phone I liked more. Recently grabbed the Verizon HTC Touch Pro and really didn't like it either. Went immediately back to my Treo.

Blackberry is screwy, and iPhone isn't available here.

I will admit that if iphone wasn't tethered to AT&T I might have tried it. The town I work in which is mainly where I need my cell is shitty service. Verizon is best service in this entire area and especially the bad spots in this town. When I got the phone, the wife was preggo so I was thinking about emergency calls and shit so I went with best service and I'm glad I did. I wish those greedy cocksuckers didn't kill the GPS (might they be losing a lot of cash to iphone in order to gain a little cash for Verizon Navigation subscribers?) and whatever else but the device itself is still great. My only beef is that the trackball on my curve gets fucked up with dirt easy and I work outside so it's not an ideal match by any stretch but we get by.

I have the iPhone, jailbroken and with a ton of apps. Other than the battery life I can't fault it for what I do every day.
