The lone braincell state of steers, queers and retards (the kind they once executed, and the kind they elect as leaders). Should they be allowed to leave, forced to leave, asked to leave, paid to leave, or forced to stay?

Doesn't Texas hold most of the US Oil?

LOL, I love how you didn't include "We want the fuck out" as an option.

Great job on filling the options with your opinion though.

Guess who is second to Alaska and I believe the percentage to be around 22-25% of the US Oil Production...

Good luck also with the petroleum reserves... Last I checked 2 of the 4 (totaling a capacity of 400+ Million barrels of oil) are in the "Retard State" of Texas. The other two are in Louisiana which goes under water every time the tide comes in.

We'll gladly absorb Texas if you guys are willing to build a huge fucking bridge for us to get there directly. They'll enjoy our colourful money!!

OKLAHOMA actually at the moment produces the 2nd largest amount of oil in the country...any Texan familiar with recent oil history knows this. Even with the amount TX brings in, like 95% of that oil gets stuffed into reserve. We dont even use it. We buy most of ours from the middle east.

Considering we are moving away from oil dependancy, our use for Texas shrinks even more. Not even mentioning the fact that with the exception of whatever company texaco is now, all the oil in Texas is owned by companies based in states other than texas.

Where the companies home office is does NOT equal where their assets and where their refineries are.

Do you honestly believe it would make more sense for them to rebuild their multibillion dollar plant over moving their home office? BTW... most own MULTIPLE multibillion dollar plants...

Are you fucking high? Texas probably produces more than Oklahoma from our land NOT COUNTING the gulf.

A smart man once said....
You realize that Texas would be extremely wealthy if they broke away from the US right?

If they became a sovereign nation that means that the area of 200 miles off the coast of Texas would become an exclusive economic zone of the Country of Texas. All those oil and natural gas deposits in the gulf would no longer be property of the US, but would become the property of Texas, that would have to maintain agreements with in order to purchase it for the US. They could also prevent commercial fishing in those waters if they chose.

Texas is also the only state with an independent electrical grid from the rest of the US. If any state is suited to survive on its own without the US it is definitely Texas. It would hurt the US far more to lose Texas than it would hurt Texas to lose the US.

Texas has the 3rd fastest state population growth in the country, only surpassed by #2 Arizona and #1 Utah as of 2008 Census figures.

Texas tried to leave the United States 140 years ago (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Texas_v._White).

Remind me again how that worked out for them?

Can we bring Texas to the middle east and keep them there? :D
God knows we could use the patriotic gun-power there. ...and a few more gentlemen.

But leave the mexicans in Mexico.
