the radio in silent hill was one the best things games have done to add tension. but RE 2 is the reason i picked up a psx.

RE1 was the first game I got for my PSX. Silent Hill was the second. I played Silent Hill a couple years ago all the way through and it was still as good as it was the first time I played it.

The Silent Hill movie was worse than Paul Blart Mall Cop, and PBMC was one of the worst movies ever made.
Say what you will about the Silent Hill movie, but it was accurate to the game.
The Suffering is truly one awesome fucked up game. They've beaten the RE and SH series to death. They were great but the pick this up, place it here bullshit gets tired quick. RE5 was fun but the newest Silent Hill was boring and I couldn't finish it.
For those who haven't played the Suffering, do yourself a favor and play it.

There are 3 paths in each of the games. Good, evil and normal. They manifest themselves as voices in your head. For example in the first game you come across a prison guard as you're making your escape. The good voice is your wife that you allegedly killed. She'll be all "He is a good man, help him" and there will a darker more sinister voice telling you to kill him in the most demonic way possible. Not to mention the constant hilusinations and crazy monsters.

I'm looking forward to the sequel to Dead Space. It's already a brilliant game, but if they iron out some of the kinks for the next title, that one might very well be nothing short of spectacular.

I'm surprised no one else has mentioned this (I think I did, maybe I was drunk and thought it). I LOVED that game. It freaked me teh fuck out with it's crazy ass hallucinations and crazy voice acting. The sound in that game was top notch.
