Poll: Platformer (Current)

#1 jumps and runs right into the favourite game meta-poll. Assassin's Creed got some nominations here, but I think it's better described as an action/adventure title.

Mirrors Edge would have gotten my vote had it not been for making you duke it out in the later levels of the game.

Jak 2 and Psychonauts almost made me forget my hatred of all things platform. But for sheer intensity, Jak wins.

Havn't tried Jak, the cover bothers me to much and have tried playing Psychonauts a few times because I've heard such great things. But between my hatred for that era of 3d poly counts and tutorial phase of the game is just to simple/longwinded I've never gotten into the meat of it.

I've really started to loath the tutorial sections of games.

Jak 2 is pretty sandboxy, but the action sequences are great, the story's dark and fast-paced, and above all, it's fucking hard. Most games today are way too easy to beat because most gamers today have ADD, but on that one, there are missions you'll take two days to beat. Brilliant.
