Surprised this hasn't been made yet but its the new Pacino and DeNiro flick coming out soon. Here is the synopsis.

cademy AwardŽ winners Robert De Niro (Raging Bull) and Al Pacino (Scent of a Woman) star as a pair of veteran New York City police detectives on the trail of a vigilante serial killer in the adrenaline fueled psychological thriller Righteous Kill, directed by Jon Avnet (Red Corner, Fried Green Tomatoes) and written by Russell Gewirtz (Inside Man). The cast also features hip-hop superstar Curtis Jackson (Get Rich or Die Tryin).

After 30 years as partners in the pressure cooker environment of the NYPD, highly decorated Detectives David Fisk and Thomas Cowan should be ready for retirement, but arent. Before they can hang up their badges, they are called in to investigate the murder of a notorious pimp, which appears to have ties to a case they solved years before.

Like the original murder, the victim is a suspected criminal whose body is found accompanied by a four line poem justifying the killing. When additional crimes take place, it becomes clear the detectives are looking for a serial killer, one who targets criminals that have fallen through the cracks of the judicial system. His mission is to do what the cops cant do on their owntake the culprits off the streets for good. The similarities between the recent killings and their earlier case raise a nagging question: Did they put the wrong man behind bars?

Pretty sure it's the first time they have been on screen together since Heat in '95

Pacino scares me now. His last film sucked cock. I hope this is good, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Yea I truly can't believe how bad 88 minutes was. The only thing remotely cool about that movie was the poster. I saw it with a buddy and within the first 10 mins we both knew what was going to happen. the remain 78 mins were wasted deciding if we should leave or expected it to get better.

Now all I can hope for is great Pacino one-liners

It's a cop movie though. I think they can both muster up a good performance.

I do too. But I'd rather be pleasantly surprised if it's good. I will not put high expectations on it.

WOW.......shitfest '08. I picked out the killer in the opening credits. Both DeNiro and Pacino seemed like Frank Caliendo versions of themselves. I didn't know DeNiro lost all of his teeth. He kept doing that thing with his jaw that was totally ridiculous and it didn't stop. They both mailed this one in. Below average at best.

i downloaded this the other day and watched it yesterday. oh my god this is crap. it's so obvious who the killer is from the start. the writing was terrible and pacino deniro were walking through scenes like they were at home. dont waste your time on this garbage.
