Anyway.. E3 Trailer.. Rally is back! + Nascar

I saw damage, that makes me happy. I also hope they fix the sound from the others. I don't want to here a vacuum while racing, I want to hear engines. Oh and the NASCAR thing surprised me, didnt expect that at all.

Yeah, that surprised me too, I had no idea they were adding Nascar. I see they've still got The Ring in there, nice. This game is going to be so good.

I'm pretty sure there's never been a NASCAR in the previous games. Japs never really got into the NASCAR thing.

There have been Indy cars in the games before, but no NASCAR

it's been too long so i dunno. maybe not as a prize car. maybe not an entirely separate part of the game like offroad etc, but i seem to remember that if you chose to (i did) take a caprice, lumina, or taurus and went through all the possible mods, once you did all 3 lightweight mods, you only had the 'race mod' left. that's when the cars got their war paint and logos and started to really perform. w/ the race mod, all those cars began to look just like nascars.

and if you happened to have to do an oval race, it sorta turned into that...

I don't remember. It's been years since I picked up a GT game. I think the NASCAR thing is a good idea. I don't watch it, but I owned NASCAR '05 for PS2 and it was actually pretty fun. I'm most looking forward to the rally section though. Colin McRae (R.I.P.) Rally was shit loads of fun and seriously challenging. I hope it's better than that.
