Small cheats on games, I may commit them. But in real life, principle trumps desires.

I can't say that I've never cheated because I have, but as I've gone through life I believe more and more in Karma. It's not some religious thing but I do believe you get what you give. So now I'm to a fault about it. I'll be in a a store and see something has fallen down into the cart but I'm already out in the parking lot. No one would know if I didn't pay for it, but I would know. I'm really big into the "sins of the father" saying and children having to reap what you as a parent sow. I never cheat in school for the aforementioned reasons but also because I need to learn while I'm there not just cheat my way through.

I cheat at games and friendly competition. I learn how to cheat, but I rarely do it for serious matters.

Not really a moral principle. I just don't want to.

I would choose the sometimes option.

I find it fascinating that more people say they would not cheat than say they would not allow someone to die for money.

If I could go to Vegas and cheat and win millions, hell yeah I'd do it in a heartbeat. But I wouldn't want someone to die over the fact that I took millions, even if it was a stranger halfway around the world.

If cheating once and not getting caught landed me 75 million, I would do that too.

If I had to cheat 1,000 times for the possibility of getting 10,000,000 dollars. I probably wouldn't do it.

These questions don't answer anything.

personally, it really depends.. if it deals with money.. more than likely. but if it was with sports, probably not. the reason is because it wouldn't feel worthwhile and as satisfying as winning without cheating.

when it comes to tests in college. hells yeah.

i can't say everyone, but majority of the people i race against cheat. for the most part it's a wash b/c i do it too, but it's "just to keep up w/ the rest of the pack"

I don't know, I'd feel kind of guilty afterwards. Even when playing cards. I usually end up telling that I've cheated. Its funny. It depends on if anyone really cared if you cheat. Sometimes cheating is fun. I mean if you cheat, you know you didn't win and you look better if you can accept a fair loss. Winning always proves your better than the losers and the cheaters.

When I play soccer, if I've gotten away with something I wouldn't tell the the ref, but I don't try to break the rules to win the game. In school im just way too smart to have to cheat and i have a photographic memory. ftw. Ok i've constructed some crib sheets at times.

THought: its less fun to cheat and lose. fail.

Cheating is bad. You don't know what swiping that 20 bucks in a monopoly game means down the line. Butterfly effect mofos.

Generally, I say no. I do think there are times when the lines between cheating and game-play are blurred. Like that guy on Survivor that said his grandmother died. I guess it depends on the nature of the game.

Anyone who plays a sport cheats, pretty much every game. I will hold a guy back, slash his foot, stand in the crease, bump the goalie, try to cut the blue line as close as I can. All to get an advantage. These are all against the rules, yet I still do it.

Now if it were something like having a corked bat, no I wouldn't. but I will push the rules and try to bend them for my benefit every game.

I read an interesting study somewhere a few years ago (I can't recall the publication), where a university polled a few hundred prospective olympic athletes.

In the poll, the athletes were given the question "If you were competing in the Olympics, and someone gave you a pill you could take that would guarantee you would win a gold medal, but then five years later you would die, would you take the pill?"

Over 90% of those polled said that they would take the pill to win the gold medal.

That kind of shocked me at the time, but it also helped me realize how much emphasis our society places on fame, celebrity, and so forth.

Crazy!

I dont think I would cheat...But bending rules or interpreting them in ways they weren't originally intended to be interpreted is a different story.

Yes, but I depends who or what I am winning against. Plus, there were no rules so technically I'm not cheating at all.

Cheating vexes real honor and dignity in future endeavors. I will abstain.

Cheating sometimes happens without realizing it but when the thought is to do or to not do, I choose the latter.
