Picked it up today, I'm about 30 mins into it and I'm very pleased. It's like Crackdown on crack.

I may pick this up after I beat Infamous.
I've been wanting to pick up inFamous but it's been rented out since it came out. I played the demo for it and it was okay.
This game is balls out. I can't say for sure because I haven't played inFamous in it's entirety but I think this game is better.
They're both open ended worlds but in Prototype you're a total badass that can rip tanks in half.

Damn, honestly I impulse bought Infamous mostly because it came out first and I wasn't sure which would be better, but now it seems hard to make that decision. It's a very solid game, and lots of fun, but this looks crazy over the top. Might as well grab them both.

Hmm...I'm a 360 man so i cant play infamous but i dunno about this. IGN blasted it pretty hard and the city looks kinda ugly. i gotta buy every game i wanna play so i dunno if it's worth 100$ AUD.

That's a tough spot. I go to Blockbuster and spend $10 CAD if I want to play something. I'm not sure about the replayability and I heard this is kinda short, but fuck sites like IGN. Those reviewers can be bought and paid for.
Might want to wait until you can pick it up on ebay for under 30 if there is no rush.
GameTrailers has the game rated at 9.3 with over 2000 votes. The best way to describe this game is it's like Crackdown but balls out.

Not really. I only bought it because it was a Halo 3 beta with a free game. Crackdown 2 could be good but Crackdown was kinda meh.

hell yeah. it looks sexy as fuck. enjoying the shield though. just plowing through everything. I enjoy causing chaos.
You can plow through shit with the armor too. And that sword arm thing does some serious damage.
Oh and I love the patsy skill. Way funny.

I wouldn't say it's a 'problem' or a delay, it just is a little slow from clip to clip.
While I'm playing it's fine, it's the inbetween shit that sucks.
EDIT: Bizz was 100% right, the game is fucking sick as hell, if you liked the free-roam aspect of Spiderman 2, this makes it it's bitch, and while the fighting takes getting used to, it's nice.
Try installing it to your hard drive. I never had a loading problem. You might also want to try to clear your cache. I'm not sure if it still works on the new dashboard or not but it used to fix a lot of problems.

I only have enough room for one game at a time on my HD, and I have WoW on there currently. I'm not saying the lag is horrible, just a little annoying at times.
Other than that, I have given you full props for a great recommendation.
