This is why checking out reviews before buying games is a good idea.

Driv3r. I loved the original Driver for Playstation, needless to say I was duped by the third. I don't think I have even though about buying a game since then without first reading the reviews.

Rampage World Tour
Fun arcade game....for like 10 minutes. It was absolutely awful on the original Playstation. Sad part is I played until level 120 or some shit. Same thing over and over and over and over.

Shinobi on the PS2. I bought it on eBay for only €18 or so, and it's actually not a bad game - but it's the toughest fucking game I've ever played. I consider myself to be a pretty decent gamer, but that one was frustrating beyond belief. I got to level 4, and never touched it since.

Final Fantasy 9. Never played it. I bought it first day and it sat on a chair in my room for a few months. Then I gave it to my brother.

Call of Duty: World At War. What a let down. I didn't even want it to be better then Modern Warfare, just the same multiplayer with WWII skins. It wasn't.

Oi, there has been a few.
I'm gonna say Oblivion. It was one of the games i brought with my 360 and i thought it was pretty good until my little sister got hooked on it and wouldn't shut up about it. totally killed any urge I'll ever have to play it.

I think I shall have to get this, if it ever was released in Europe. I really tried to like Shinobi - I always loved the series - but at some point, doing actual work appeared less frustrating than beating that game.

Sins of a Solar Empire. Its gotten amazing reviews and maybe I need to give it another shot but I could not stand the game after only playing for like three hours. Maybe its because I expected something else. Maybe its because I love Stardocks Galactic Civilizations series.
Other than that, I can't really say. I havent bought a new game in awhile.

I'll have to say Turok as one. I bought it because a) it was $9.99 at Best Buy and b) I loved the first one. Well, I got it home and the controls are pretty bad. Not nearly enough dinosaur action. I didn't get very far, but the shooting controls were awful. The only satisfying part was using the knife (except when you miss the trigger moment and do the longest most awkward forward stab I've ever seen) and the bow and arrow. The weapons weren't much fun. Turok... has changed.
Another I do regret is paying a full $60 for The Last Remnant. I've clocked in twenty minutes of that game. I should have gone with Lost Oddysey instead but thought I'd risk it and take a chance. Bad move.
Alone in the Dark. Blech.

Xbox 360 - Two Worlds. The game play was oddly decent but the graphics/storyline/combat system were all crap. I played for all of ten minutes and went right back and returned it.

Not so much a game, but the Map Packs for WaW. Yeah, never really ever played them, even though I spent about $20 total on both of them.
Just a thought, is there any way for me/us to contact the people who control that sort of shit, whether it be Microsoft or whomever, to complain?

There were instances. Just not really when it first started. Also the instances were not reserved so you could be in the same area as other groups chasing the same bad guy. Made getting quest items and such a pain in the ass. People just sat and waited.
I played it for 3 years. I had a Crusader and Geomancer. Was working on a Tinker but got bored and moved on to other games.

uhh, no, ive played em all. RE4 was definitely the longest, and maybe the best, but thats up for discussion. but going from that you would think RE5 would have been even longer then 4.. maybe YOU've never played a Resident Evil game... cuz even if you've only played the latest two (which is probably what is going on here) you would know for sure that RE4 was sooo much longer.. maybe you just didnt finish it.. who knows. RE5 was real cool, still some things I would have liked changed (like not being able to move while shooting) but still, my only gripe (which is a really big one) is the shortness of the game. I don't know anyone that said that the story had a long play..

Um, dude, he said that RE5 was the longest which HE HAD PLAYED.
Where in that sentence do you read the implication that he has played them all? If you leave 4 out of the discussion, he does have a point - the first three canon games were ridicuously short.

i'm pretty he was trying to say that he had, at the very least, played most of them if not all and that i have not... idk.

How did you take 25 hours to beat RE4?
Did you play it on the Gamecube or PS2? Because on the GC it took me maybe 15 13 hours. PS2 got extra content if I remember correctly. Were you also counting Ada's side quest? And RE5 the first time took about the same maybe a little longer due to my idiot partner AI.
Yes, I have played: RE1: DC, RE2, RE3, RE:CV, RE4, RE:0, RE:Outbreak 1, RE:Outbreak 2, RE:UC, REmake and RE:Survivor. I know there were a few others. I know the Gameboy had at least one. And I think there was another survivor game.
Anything single player for PC... Why use money when you're already paying for bandwidth?
Final Fantasy 8: Love the series, just never caught my attention enough to keep playing
The old "Exile" series: It annoyed me because I kept dying way too early in the game. Way too hard of enemies in random places.
all MOH's: Great games, just ended up giving them to my ex's little brother though... Never played it for too long.

tom clancys end war but it was in a sale so its ok
This is why I rent. I rent from Blockbuster and if I like the game, I keep it and pay the difference and pick up the box and book. I usually rent the games I want to play as soon as they come out, so I'm the first person to play them.
Biggest let down for me recently was Red Faction.

I didn't mind Vegas 2 it was just released at a shitty time.
My regret was the map packs for Vegas 1. Then a few weeks later the fuckers gave them away for free and didn't refund our money.
For the money they ask for any new release, I could book a return flight anywhere in Europe, get full and drunk, pay for sex if I can't get it for free, and live the good life for no less than a couple of days, possibly avoiding any realistic fighting game, as well as any sequel, unoriginal revamp or variation on the theme, and tons of others. Being a playing parasite at my friends' place is the best solution.

Assassins Creed II. Should've known things wouldn't be different... I mean I'm supposed to be an assassin. This is supposed to be a stealth game right? Why the hell can't I stealthily kill main targets? Why do I get caught and have to run away every time? Bad controls, a boring story and redundant gameplay all make for quite a lackluster experience.
