What's weird is, I go into grocery stores now and see the exact same types of people that I worked with 5 years ago.

Every department in a grocery has the same people working there.
Guys in meat are always half retarded, grocery are high school drop outs, dairy are dudes that think they're badasses, bakery and cheese are fat old ladies and pettite sexy teenagers.
And produce are the coolest dudes in the store. So popular. Homecoming kings.

so I found this mongolian restaraunt that is really good. Finally. Beef, turkey, chicken, or lamb with all the veggies, comes with biscuits, rice, and hot tea for $7 or all you can eat for $10. Fuck yes.

Mongolian is the shit. Probably one of the best "new" things I've started eating in the last couple years.
Also...last weekend I tried steamed mussels for the first time. My uncle was just chowing down on them. Me? Wanted to make me blow chow.

Here's my basterdized Korean beef. No real measurements, but you probably need about a cup of soy sauce and a cup of sugar. The lower the ingredient on the list, the less you will need.
Flank steak--cut into strips
Equal parts Soy sauce and sugar
Green onions--chopped
Garlic--chopped
Fresh Ginger--grated
Roasted sesame seeds
Sesame oil
Rooster hotsauce
Orange juice
Lightly salt and pepper the beef. Mix everything in a giant bowl. Let it sit for a couple of hours. BBQ, take off the grill, splash with a little OJ and eat. The end.

Pan seared some salmon today for the first time. Took a salmon filet and drizzled olive oil over it, along with some cracked pepper and ground sea salt, and finished with some chopped dill sprinkled liberally over. Seared on both sides on high heat and had to stick it in the oven for a few because it wasn't as cooked on the inside as I wanted.

Anybody got a good recipe for pizza crust and/or pizza sauce?
INGREDIENTS
1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast
1 teaspoon white sugar
1 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
2 1/2 cups bread flour
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup honey (gives the crust an awesome sweet taste)
Best sauce i've used for pizza is just simple prego pasta sauce, throw that in a bowl with some italian spice and your good to go.

my cousin came over tonight and i did this again, but i did burgundy steak tips instead of turkey.
and i forgot to add it to the list of ingredients for the corn last time, but i also squeezed lime juice on the corn before i wrapped it up. this time i also upped the cayenne a bit, it was goooood.

We went there for happy hour and sat outside in the patio area (the inside is much more "fancy schancy"). I had 4 or 5 different Belgian beers and some Belgian fries with an assortment of dipping sauces. That set me back ~$35 including tip.

It makes a huge difference. When I used to cook it out of the package for 45 mins -- it's still rough to eat. But by soaking it over night, it seemed like each grain kind of split and opened a little -- thus, softer.
Oh, and I put a little garlic, olive oil and cooked it with chicken broth and it tasted so delish!!!

I lost 100 pounds eating brown rice and meats and veggies and always struggled with the texture of the rice. Out of curiousity how long do you cook it the next day? Is it much less time or about the same? Also how fluffy and soft is it I mean would say twice as soft as the normal 45 min cooked version or just a little softer. I still like to eat Brown rice a lot but it takes so damn long to cook as mentioned here. This is interesting though and might bring it back to my table on a regular basis.
