i'm determined to grow out a pure sativa, but it just takes so long to flower and the yields are so low.
you are correct but if you grow for yourself and not the money sativa is the way to go. Back in the day when I grew for profit it was straight Pez witch is mostly indica. It had a 40 day flower cycle and produced 10 onces per plant in hydro. That shit paid my bills for about 2 years.

Do not put the clone straight into flowering. Take your cutting and put it into a veg cycle. I would recommend 20 hours of light 4 hours of dark. Do you have a cloning kit? Because they seem to work the best.

I took 200mg last night to help me sleep. I'm supposed to take it every night and 50mg during the day, but I haven't taken any in months. You can go up to 2000mg a day for schizophrenia but you're supposed to go up slowly. I started on 25mg a night until I didn't even notice it anymore then I'd increase my dose another 25mg until I got to 200mg. So I took the 200mg last night without taking any in months and I was straight up hallucinating. I was laying in bed trying to fall asleep and I was tripping balls. I was seeing all sorts of fucked up shit. It's hard to explain a trip but I knew I was tripping and I knew what I was seeing wasn't real. Then I slept about 11 hours and now I have a killer headache. It's not so much sleeping as it is passing out.

I have a stock pile of this shit. I think I'm going to start trading it for something else like oxy.

Salvia is more of a hallucinogenic drug than weed I believe. I have tried it once when I was in Hawaii. Some guy that I had met grew it in is yard. Me personally, not a fan. put a pot on with a few cups of water, a stick of butter, and 7.5g of regular weed, or 3.5g of some dank. bring it to a light boil, and then cut your heat back to a light simmer and gently cook it for an hour to an hour and a half. then take a colander or as fine a strainer as you have and strain the whole mixture into a new pot and squeeze the butter out of the weed, i usually rinse the buds with warm water to make sure i get it all. then pop the butter water mix into the fridge for a few hours and the butter should rest at the surface an solidify. scrape it up and you can use it to bake or cook anything where you'd normally use regular butter. the grassy taste is minimal.

another tip to get the grassy taste out of cannabutter is to soak your buds gently in cold water for an hour or two, it will leech out any extra chlorophyll, no loss of thc. then strain the water and use the wet buds to make your batch.

I don't want to do salvia if it's a hallucinogen. I was hoping it would be similiar to weed and I run a potential of getting piss tested. I just said fuckit and went and bought a bottle of Ultimate Gold, since I have heard good things about that one.

I fucking wish weed was legal already. For someone like me, it calms me down a lot more than pills, and benzos are physically addicting so I don't like taking those too much.

And I found a bottle of some old timey over the counter diet pills before they made certain shit illegal, and each pill has like 25mg of ephedra. I want to lose weight, but I take heart meds, so it prolly wouldn't be a good idea for me to take those.

Here is another recipe for weed butter:

a good rule of thumb that i use is 7.5g of weed to each stick of butter. so if you do an oz, use no less than 3-4 sticks of butter.

I was always told a quarter of pot per quarter pound of butter, or an ounce per pound of butter, i always find i loose about 100g of matter that gets boiled off, last time i made butter i got about 350g of weed butter from a pound stick. Sorry guys but you have to go with no filter and no rolling machine. It just takes some practice. I like to roll the spliff style. Kind of like a baseball bat. Its just a little fat on the top and it tapers down to a smaller size. I used to buy trimmings just so I could practice and it seemed to help alot.
If you want to have some sort of filter or a hard end so the joint does not get all mushy, I use the stems of the weed. You just cut the stems up and roll that up at the end of the joint to make a so called filter.
Having a grinder for your weed also helps. If you can get it ground up and not picked apart it also helps when you roll one up.
I personally like to use papers that don't have any glue in them. I think it takes away part of the taste but its a litter harder to roll. I found without any glue on the paper it helps to tare a little bit of the paper off helps to makes it stick together a little better.

A friend of mine finally decided to start growing. He bought seeds online, just started germinating them, and is going to transfer to soil in two days. Once they've started to sprout he's going to plant them outdoors (we don't have the space to grow anywhere indoors, and he doesn't want to risk the whole legality of it).

Anybody have any tips? I know to check the sex in a few weeks, but past that I'm pretty much useless.

I remember you talking about this. The best place you can do this is in a corn field. Farmers cycle crops to maintain PH levels, so you know the soil is good. The corn crops are tall enough to hide the plants and most corn fields are irrigated so they'll even be watered for you. Watch out for silk worms though. It's good to use an organic insecticide when growing out doors. You can also throw some miracle grow on them once and a while. Depending on how many you guys are doing, clear enough corn to put 5-25 per spot. Spread them around and in different corn fields. This way if they are found (Which in unlikely) you'll still have other crops around.

As for the sexes, it's difficult to stop pollination outdoors.

In order to tell the sex you have to preflower them. It is very hard to tell the sex of the plant until they have been flowering for a couple of weeks. My suggestion would be to get them into soil let them vegetate for two weeks then put them under a light on 12 off 12 for a couple of weeks. Then you can separate the males from the females. Or just throw them all outside and around the end of July early August start checking them for sex. Bizz has a good idea about the corn fields just make sure they don't cut the field before you are ready to harvest.
Hopefully your roomate knew he was going to grow outdoors so he got an outdoor plant. Some plants don't do as well outdoors as they will do indoors so make sure he did his research on that subject. Other than that have fun. It is a great hobby and you can always get better at it.

Cooking with weed/cannabutter
i really haven't heard anyone so far use a good method. As has been mentioned, you never actually want to cook with the weed, you make butter first and then use it in whatever dish you like--from brownies, to toast, to spaghetti carbonara, lobster, etc.

unless you have 3 days to spare, what you actually want to do is to use a double boiler setup, or at least make one of your own. When my roommate and I do it, we use our spaghetti pot and suspend a miniature coffee pot with wires in the middle. You put the butter and the (ground up--spend the 20 bucks and get a good 3 chamber grinder or use your coffee grinder and make sure to scrape for dust) weed in the top part of the double boiler, get the shit melted and stirred, and then leave it alone for 45 minutes to an hour so that the thc can be cooked into the butter with minimal loss. then use a coffee filter/paper towel/cheese cloth (doesn't really matter as long as it's not porous enough to let plant matter through to strain what was in the top part of the double boiler into a mason jar. cap it and throw it in the fridge. an hour later, BOOM, you've got spreadable butter that is rich in thc.

in terms of amounts, i actually use once-vaped weed, my roommate and i have figured out that pretty much 14 grams of the once-vaped weed corresponds to 1 stick of butter---using those proportions, we get some ridiculously good brownies that don't taste like weed (ie they taste delicious) that get you high as shit and can literally put you on your ass. I imagine if you can lay your hands on a quarter of some decent nugget, that would be sufficient.

one time we made some toast with herb butter and fed it to the dog. hilarity ensued.

4 different have told me that they hated salvia, it was just too bizarre and really intense for how short it was. The common thread was they felt as if their head literally detached itself from their body, like a helium balloon floating away or something but not in a good way, like a scary head-being-torn-from-your-neck- vertigo-inducing kind of way.

I bought this Kratom stuff from my head shop. The first thing I tried was to smoke it, dumb idea. It was in a crystal form, like keef scrapings, and it just hardened into an unsmokable, unburnable chunk. Then I read to make a tea, and it was great, you can make the tea as strong as you want and its abosolutley great. its legal and makes you real comfotable and pleased with your sitiuation. It works in a background kind of way, like in the movies when they get somebody high without the person knowing or something,(people always know if they get high on THC that something is going on). Anyway, try Kratom, its nice, and one of my new favorite ways to relax.
