Fleet Foxes is the best I can think of right now. The problem is I always forget what came out when.

The Last Shadow Puppets debut is fantastic as well.

tough call between Islands - Arm's Way and The Ting Ting's - We Started Nothing.

Islands is far superior in my books. Ting Tings even said it in their album title basically that they are a nothing band.

say it or not, it's amazing indie-pop. it's like beck saying he's a loser, meh.

Yeah but other than that one statement this is no basis of comparison for Beck and Ting Tings. Plus that lead single just sounds like they sampled Franz Ferdinand and let a chick sing over it.

Ah forgot about Bon Iver. Very close call between that and Fleet Foxes, half of the former is amazing, but the latter is inconsistent.

Ting Tings just suck by the way.

Lupe is GREAT. The only competition it will have from the rap genre is Snoop (which is more nostalgia than anything else) and T.I. in a couple months. I hate Lil' Wayne, don't believe the Dre album will come out, and was less than impressed by the Nas album. I suppose the Atmosphere album is pretty good, but not even close to Lupe.
