Don't know if this has been posted elsewhere (didn't see it on a search). From http://www.davematthewsband.com/news/:
LeRoi Moore, saxophonist and founding member of Dave Matthews Band, died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon, August 19, 2008, at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles from sudden complications stemming from his June ATV accident on his farm near Charlottesville, Virginia. LeRoi had recently returned to his Los Angeles home to begin an intensive physical rehabilitation program.
Shame. Not a particularly big fan of DMB, but he was a very talented musician.

LeRoi Moore, saxophonist and founding member of Dave Matthews Band, .
You mean Dave Matthews wasn't the founding member of the Dave Matthews Band?
One of the founding members
RIP LeRoi. You were a pleasure to listen to and see in person multiple times.

It's a real shame.....
....that the rest of DMB wasn't on that ATV.
Annoying yuppie bullshit music.

I wonder if he ate, drank, and was merry.
God must have wanted some bad ass funk duo in heaven. Isaac Hayes and LeRoi.

they are so easy to replace though.
People who have followed the band for 15 years or so, such as myself? (I didn't cry though.) Faggy stoner/drunk frat boys who know 12 songs from some stuff they downloaded shouldn't but probably did.

Has that guy ever said, "dood, you just gotta see Dave LIVE, then you'll understand."? Thank god people quit saying that, because I was getting tired of punching idiots.
It's still fun. I trip the frat guys who yell "DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAVE!" at the shows. It ruins their tie-dye shirts and makes me smile.

DMB sucks balls.
The only thing Dave Matthews was good in was the episode of "House" where he plays a retard.
Yeah, don't get me wrong. I shock a lot of people when I tell them my love of DMB. I don't smoke, etc. or fit the standard DMB fan stereotype. They were just a band I got into in 1994 and have loved since. I liked it because the music was nice and something my dad didn't hate. I'm not obsessed. I don't buy every live album they put out, etc. I don't know the lyrics to every song. And the most I'll see them on the same tour is twice and it's always at Alpine Valley or in Chicago. I don't road trip. I go and love the show, but I loathe the "typical fan". It gets worse each year.

Maybe...I got a friend that could play circles around him.
Nonetheless, RIP.

I bet the people on that ferry who got hit with his shit are kicking themselves for not saving it and selling it on ebay now.

I agree. I own three of their albums. The rest didn't do anything for me.
