Predator is definitely one of the greatest action films of all time. It is one of those movies that continues to be great even after multiple viewings. It spawned many governors, classic lines, and is just plain fun to watch.

I just watched Predator 2 yesterday. It's one of the few movies I can watch over and over again without getting sick of it.
Ha, I was on a stag weekend the other week, spent the first night camping and quoting this film for no particular reason. The owner came over to threaten to throw us off the site for making too much noise and halfway through his tirade one of the lads shouted from the tent "forget about my tie man!" and we all just cracked up laughing.
Oh what fun we had.

As far as I've ever heard. Van Damme wasn't hired to fight, he was hired for his agility... basically he wore a red SFX suit and swung around the jungle, to create the cloaked alien effect. After he was fired, they redesigned the creature so that it'd be more physically imposing compared to Schwarzenegger and the other main cast

I thought that Predator 2 was ruined by Maria Conchita Alonso. She is really annoying throughout the film and I kept wishing that the Predator would rip the fetus out of her and beat her to death with it.
I still would like to know what this would have been like if Van-Damne was the Predator. Like would it have been more fights or what?
I’m not sure if there would have been more fights but there probably would have been multiple scenes of the Predator doing the splits and maybe even dancing.

Looking back on it the last act of the film was some of the best storytelling of that time. It was two hunters who were going after "the most dangerous game" For Dutch it was an enemie that was outfitted with the most sophisticated weapons and a single purpose = to hunt and kill him. For the Predator (Yautja) it was hunting a species that had someting that it probably never came across = the will to live. Sure dogs will fight when cornered, but the human spirt is something that has helped us endure and is what is makes us the victor in many of these types of events.
one rocked.. but as happens so often the sequels sucked ass....

Right.. so you trade off backstory for a pussy alien? Seriously... The First Predator killed an elite team of marines... Including Jesse Ventura... And it took Arnold Schwarzenigger to kill him, and he almost couldn't do it.
But then Danny Glover had a seemingly easy time taking him out? Really?
I call that BULLSHIT... Danny Glover couldn't kill an ant hill with a nuke.

I wish they'd do a Predator 3 without the aliens. I like the predators hunting humans better.
