i wrote these up for another board i post at about a month ago. feel free to laugh at me
i'm going extra WACKY this year
new england 12-4 [i expect a team similar to the one in the playoffs last year. nothing close to their regular season team]
new york 8-8 [they overachieved in 06 and underachieved last year. happy meduim!]
buffalo 7-9 [sorry guys you're still not breaking through this year]
miami 3-13 [i expect a more competitve team but they still don't have the talent to win many]
pittsburgh 11-5 [like every year, they'll be solid if not spectacular]
cleveland 9-7 [like a lot of people, i don't expect them to take that huge step forward like the media insists they will. still a good team though]
baltimore 7-9 [pretty bad on offense, underachieving defense. they're the bears of the afc.]
cincinnati 6-10 [regressing after a nice little string of non-losing seasons. that defense stinks.]
jacksonville 12-4 [WACKY. garrard plus running game plus defense gets it done]
indianapolis 10-6 [they have to have a down year eventually, right?]
houston 9-7 [winning season for these guys finally. like doyle, i think matt schaub will have a quiet, huge season]
tennessee 3-13 [just a feeling i have. there's one of these teams every year that regresses for no particular reason so hey why not]
san diego 12-4 [rivers is gonna figure it out and have a very good season and become a top 5 qb in the league]
oakland 8-8 [WACKY. seriously, if they can get good play out of jamarcus, why the fuck not.]
denver 7-9 [just meh all around. i expect cutler to have a big year though]
kansas city 5-11 [they just don't have the talent yet to compete, but they're getting there. need to find out what they have at qb and fix the o line.]
indianapolis over pittsburgh; new england over houston
san diego over indianapolis; jacksonville over new england
jacksonville over san diego
philadelphia 11-5 [fans will still find a way to bitch about mcnabb. seriously, shut the fuck up if you have a competent qb, philly.]
new york 9-7 [they're not the class of the league, but if they get into the playoffs again, watch out.]
dallas 9-7 [i'm gonna laugh when this team inevitably fails after a slow start. fuck em.]
washington 8-8 [i don't know what to expect from these guys on either side of the ball. so .500 sounds safe]
minnesota 11-5 [tavaris jackson will fuck shit up, but they'll take the 06 bears route and rely on their running game and defense. however, it will be chester taylor, not peterson that has the big year as he battles injuries again.]
chicago 5-11 [i'm preparing for the worst. this might be the worst offense an nfl team has ever put on the field. but hester will return 73 kicks for tds.]
detroit 4-12 [just when you thought they were turning the corner...]
green bay 0-16 [for having to listen to this big fucking soap opera all goddamn summer.]
atlanta 9-7 [haha, well the team in last has won the divison the next year for like the past five years, so lets go with it again!]
tampa bay 8-8 [another team i have no idea about. jeff garcia will not finish the season though.]
new orleans 7-9 [reggie bush will have another disappointing year and officially be labeled a bust.]
carolina 6-10 [every year, the experts pick them to do well. and ever year, they disappoint. but hey, at least being in last will mean they'll win the division in 09!]
seattle 13-3 [i don't think this team really has a glaring weakness. to me they're the team to beat in the nfc...except they won't be.]
arizona 11-5 [fuck yeah! cards finally breakthrough and get to the playoffs. but it is behind the arm of kurt warner, not that pretty boy leinart.]
st. louis 10-6 [they will get healthy and put up a nice season. a rejuvinated offense and a rising young defense will lead them to be the second surprise playoff team from the nfc west]
san francisco 5-11 [ alex smith will have another miserable season and go down as one of the worst number one picks ever]
minnesota over st. louis; arizona over atlanta
seattle over arizona; philadelphia over minnesota

I'm pretty sure that your seedings are messed up. Don't they rank the seedings from best division winner to worst division winner with the 5th and 6th playoff teams being the best two non divisional records?

Minor predictions: Jets will be sub-.500 and Favre will have an atrocious year
-Texans will go 9-7 and make it to the playoffs.
-Both Antonio Gates and Ladanian Tomlinson will have somewhat down years
-Cowboys will be everything we thought they could be. They will have one of the best offenses and probably the best defense.

Lots of love on the Saints. Did I miss something??? Don't get me wrong Drew Brees I like, but man winning the whole thing?
Weak division, weak NFC a new target in Shockey. They could have a very easy road if people stay healthy. They won't be running into the Bears' D this year.

If we have to deal with Pats vs. Colts in a championship game, I'm going to puke.
Come to think of it, if Mr. Favre knocks us out of the playoffs, I'll probably just give up on the NFL.
