Back in the 90's I'd say 2pac, but I seem to be more into Biggie nowadays.

I go through phases. Sometimes the only thing I've wanted to listen to for a few days would be Ready to Die.

Had to go with Pac. I like both of their stuff. Just when I think of Biggie puff daddys dumbass face pops into my head. So that was kinda the tie breaker for me

Poop Sailboat

What a great poll. My Xbox playlist consists of all of Biggie and 2Pac's stuff (along with Snoop and The Chronic) and I basically just listen to it all the time. It's interesting to notice the differences in their styles and the way they wrote. Biggie, to me, is more of a painter, making pieces of art, telling stories, ect. Whereas Tupac is more of social and cultural commentator. Tupac is angry and fearless, where Biggie was somewhat passive and laid back. It's a nice contrast.

Just wondering was at a party once and 1 cop showed up. 1 guy ran like like hell only for the cop to catch him before he even got to the end of the drive way. I thought. Damn If he could have ran farther?

2Pac made way more music but had less pop success. The only reason there is a biggie is because 2pac made fun of him and sean combs is a whore.

The only reason there's Biggie is because he had awesome rhymes, a great flow and an easy going voice. I like both but Biggie is far and away the better rapper, even with fewer albums.

Have you ever heard Pac v. Biggie at Madison Square Garden? Biggie shredded Pac.

I think he said it best when he said "you didn't know that we be shittin on hoes"

Those lyrics really stuck with me and I'm a better person for hearing them.

Their opposite ends of the spectrum. Pac was more social and Big was more chill. it depends on the mood. They were both whored out respectively. I liked Big's flow but Pac had deep messages, some that I didn't get until I was older and went through some things.

I ain't got time for bitches
Gotta keep my mind on my motha fuck'n riches
even when I die
they won't worry me
mama don't cry
bury me a g

And since we all came from a woman
Got our name from a woman and our game from a woman
I wonder why we take from our women
Why we rape our women, do we hate our women?
I think it's time to kill for our women
Time to heal our women, be real to our women

And if we don't we'll have a race of babies
That will hate the ladies, that make the babies
And since a man can't make one
He has no right to tell a woman when and where to create one

So will the real men get up?

I know you're fed up ladies, but keep your head up

Biggie had a better flow and a cooler voice but who would you rather have rock a party? No contest.

Hand's down Pac... I don't doubt Biggie's lyrical talent, but the fucker sounds like he's retarded. Pac could make you sad, extremely pissed off and horny all within a song or two.

I would have gone with "I Ain't Mad At Ya" for a sad song, but "So Many Tears" works alright too. For the record, Biggie can do the same things. "Suicidal Thoughts", "Me and My Bitch" come to mind as sad songs.

And who wouldn't want to fuck to "Fuck You Tonight"?

Like I said, Biggie has talent, but Pac can swing you any number of directions both with his lyrics and his presence.

Also, he was a pretty good actor.

Do you think anybody else could use a line like this?

"You look so good, I'd suck on your daddy's dick."

I was just thinking about that and laughing. Imagine using that as a pickup line.

One night when I was 16 or 17 after 2pac had just died I got completely wasted and wore a backwards bandana and walked around this party telling everyone that I was 2-pac. Then I fell down a flight of stairs and passed out on the hardwood floor in my friend's dining room. Then all my friends drew cocks and nazi propaganda all over me. Needless to say, I woke up to find out that I was in fact, not 2-pac.

Fuck 2Pac and his tripled vocals, limited lyrical ability, and repetitive songs. Tupac is the most over rated rapper ever, and thats sayin something. In terms of technical ability, BIG > Pac. BIG just made better songs. I have tons of Tupac material, and it all sounds the same, yeah it might be more poetic, inspiring and emotive (Do for love is one of my favorite songs ever). But BIG was the better rapper, could switch his flow to suit any beat, from matching BTNH on their midwest stuttering rapid flow (Notorious Thugs), to a more laid back Mase-esque flow (Mo Money Mo Problems). He can easily match, or exceed Pac's famed story telling ability too. Im not saying BIG is the greatest ever, but he shits all over Pac.

Plus I respect him for not responding to Hit Em Up.

Murder Mase before he became Puffys shiny suit wearing bitch was a pretty good rapper. Check out some of Children of the Corn's material (his old group).

Billy

I like Biggie, his flow was undeniably top notch. However, I struggle to think of any material of his that isn't just the standard rap stereotypes of being only about bitches, weed, drug dealing, murdering people, robbing people, expensive cars/jewelry, or how rich he is and how jealous everyone else is. It's mostly just egotistical bullshit, albeit enjoyable bullshit.
A lot of Pac's material falls into that same mold, but Pac also liked to touch on social issues and intellectualism in his lyrics which I appreciate.
Also, comparing someone's abilities to Mase is NOT a compliment, nor has it ever been

It's ok, I was told I look like John Mayer today. Apparently John Mayer is bald, wears a cowboy hat, and has a pirate goatee.
